Hefner's Auto is a great place to take your car for service and I highly recommend their work. The most important thing to me is to know that I am being told the truth about what my car needs and given a fair price for the repairs and I found that with Hefner's. I have referred family to them and they have also been very happy with Hefner's. Everyone there is very nice and helpful. When I initially brought my car in for an alignment they looked over the car and informed me about the engine mounts. They were not trying to sell me on it but they informed me of what was happening and what needed to be done and why. I felt completely comfortable with what I was told. I am very satisfied with their work and will only take my car to them from now on.
I have had other work done there for this same car and our other vehicle and have been very happy with Hefner's. My only complaint is that I wish they were open on Saturday's and that they are closer to my home.

I brought my truck in to get an estimate on getting a catalytic converter replaced because my original one was stolen. After putting the truck up on the lift, the immediately came out and told me that, while they could do the work, that it would be much cheaper to go to Apache Muffler. Since the previous quotes were over $1000, and these people stated that this was well beyond a normal repair situation, with mangled brackets, hacked off oxygen sensors, they said that Apache Muffler would get me superior results at a much more reasonable price. They were correct. Got everything repaired, and 1/2 inch bar stock welded on to prevent future thefts for less than $450. That's more than a 50% discount for a much more difficult repair.

They are wonderful. I have used them for years. They are honest. They get the work done whenever they say something needs to be done. There was a long list of things that the dealership gave me and they told me what was necessary. They told me what was optional and what really needed to be done for safety. I trust them completely. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Gary Hefner's Auto Repair is the quintessential down home auto repair shop. They know what they do and they do it well. I saved over $800 for an A/C system repair back in 1999. I brought my 1995 Nissan Altima to Hefner’s on a friend’s referral after being told by another nationwide shop that I needed a new air compressor. Hefner’s told me my problem was caused by the magnetic clutch that engages the compressor to run the air conditioner. They also told me that this particular clutch cannot be replaced separately because it’s built into the compressor. But instead of charging me for a new compressor, they tried an “old trick” of bending the clutch plate a little closer to the magnetic coil to better engage the compressor. They said it doesn’t always work, and I could be back at some point in the future. I drove that car for 7 more years, and never had an A/C problem again. I’ve brought all my car problems ever since and I can say that I’ve never felt cheated or unsatisfied with the quality of work.

Gary and his team are wonderful - and TRUSTWORTHY! They could have easily recommended all sorts of suspension work on our car, but instead simply pointed out that one of our tires was starting to separate. They even suggested that we go elsewhere for the new tire because they would have to charge a mark-up if they bought it for us. We have gone to Hefners for years. Ever since a different brake shop tried to convince us we needed $600 worth of urgent emergency work when we went in for a routine check up on a previous car. A neighbor said 'Get a 2nd opinion from Hefners' and we were so glad we did when they assured us our brakes were fine and the other place was a rip off! (We drove that car another 10,000 miles before it really needed even new brake pads)! I recommend Hefner's to everyone! My only 'warning', however, is that the shop looks like an ancient little hole in the wall. The aren't fancy, but they are HONEST and RELIABLE, so who cares what they look like?!
