On second trip oven thermostat installed, but installer left with oven inoperative. Installer explained to spouse that the problem was likely in the electrical box outside and beyond the scope of his work. Later, cabinet installer connected the loose wire under the cook top in less than five minutes. The oven has worked properly since. Request for refund met with excuses and argument. Doubt that oven thermostat was necessary on 18 month old oven.

We purchased an LG French door fridge. There was an error code and we had already REPLACED this same fridge in April within 9 months of purchase because GW couldn't get parts in. It was a known problem but they didn't get parts for months.

So - fast fwd to NEW fridge about 4 months in has same error code and is freezing food in the fridge spaces and ice is all over the frozen section. It took a while to get parts and then they ordered the WRONG part and didn't order a part they were supposed to. The service repair guy is excellent, but the home office didn't keep us informed of our parts getting in (they supposedly were in for a few weeks). They also knew we were having the issues with the food freezing.

I am currently using them again - and will see how the part (ENTIRE inside back of fridge - it is freezing everything in the drawers solid) comes in. The serviceman recommended I start calling in 7 days - daily.

Provider arrived on time and performed repair to dishwasher after ordering parts. He even helped identify the fact that parts and labor could be covered by Bosch. Super helpful, professional  and very courteous. I would hire these folks again anytime.

Bought a high-end Washer and Dryer from Spencers TV and Appliance. Goldwing (G2) does most of Spencers warranty service. Overall the experience was positive, although the scheduler seemed more interested in getting off the phone than learning what the problem was.  Their schedule was out one week (the New Year holiday).  The Technician showed up on time and was very knowledgeable.  He knew the model and made very helpful suggestions that were not made by the salesman or the operating manual.

I wanted to make sure that we ended up with the right people. It was all under warranty so it didn't cost us anything. They were one of the three that did work in that area and I looked up in Angie's List and the other two were not on Angie's List. So, that's why I worked with them. They were courteous and they were on time. They were very professional and they know what they were doing.

Very well. Technician, Scott M arrived when he said he would in a call at 8:30 am, Friday morning. Scott asked me about what the symptoms were and took the ice maker out for inspection. Inspection revealed that the motor that flips the ice tray over was hot and not functioning. Because Scott had asked what the model number of the unit was on the earlier phone call, he had the part on his truck. He replaced the unit, and told me to call him later in the event that the unit was not making ice. Total repair time was less than 30 minutes.
When I forgot to contact Scott later, he called me to see if the unit was working, which it was. I was very satisfied with Goldwing's response and service.

Our repairman was knowledgeable, and quickly told us, the motor was fine, the clogged vent, just made a bely come off, which he quickly fixed for us.
No additional parts were needed.

We had called on Monday but he was not available until Thursday afternoon. When he looked at the frost and icicles in the freezer, he said that there was nothing he could do as that was something that all Electrolux refrigerators did. There was a red overheating light also on, so he unplugged the refrigerator for a few minutes to reset it to see if that would take care of the problem. What resulted from that unplugging is that the freezer temp went haywire and this morning our ice cream was melted and the temp was 45 degrees. We had to reset the zero temp for the freezer.
arWhen I asked him to write the fact that the problem could not be repaired, he just wrote and quot;no repair at this time.and quot; Although, he expounded on all the problems that the Electrolux refrigerator had and that is was a faulty design that he could not address.

LG Washer started making noise and called Goldwing to service it. After talking about it, it appeared it could be repaired so I authorized service. Within 2 weeks, the parts arrived and technician called that he'd be at the house between 9-12. About 10am, he called to say that he was running late and if he could do my repair last. This wasn't too much of a problem as I work at home, but I did have something later that night I needed to attend so it did cause me a little stress. Tech arrived and quickly started working on the washer -- after about 40 min, he called me out to show me a problem. The parts that Goldwing ordered didn't match up exactly with what was on the machine originally. He said that they had ordered what was in the parts list so he was confused. He said he'd call LG and get back to me tomorrow (Friday). Friday rolls around and he calls in the late afternoon to tell me that things aren't looking so good with LG. They (Goldwing or LG) can't figure out what part needs to be ordered. He said he wouldn't be back and that he'd probably call on Monday or Tuesday to let me know how things were going. Now fast forward to Wednesday -- no call from Goldwing on the status so I call their main number to find out what is going on. Receptionist says tech will call me after he gets out of training later in the day to update me on status. Of course given the past, this phone call never was made by Goldwing. Today (Thursday), a whole week after the washing machine was torn apart and left in pieces in my garage ("temporarily") I still hadn't heard back from Goldwing. I called their number once again and the receptionist said the tech would call me "right back" to update me. Tech calls a couple minutes later to tell me they've not made any progress figuring out what part they need with LG. He told me he was "off today", but he'd call me later in the day to update me on the progress. I'm not too hopeful that anything will get done at this point and I'll have a working washing machine. So I've got washing machine parts in my laundry room, hallway and garage and no idea if this washing machine will ever get repaired because Goldwing and LG cannot figure out what is going on. Given Goldwing is an LG factory repair shop and LG makes the washing machine itself, I'm baffled at this point how it can take over a week to put a simple tub back into a popular washing machine. I'm about to have to head out to a laundry mat to get my clothes clean. I should have just bought a new one at this point. **Update** Looks like Goldwing and LG are finally on the same page and we are hopefully going ahead with the fix.

Not only did they make an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, they saved me $200 bucks. My oven was just out of warranty and he had told me to contact the company still. I did and in the end, I did not have to pay a thing. He told me that he felt that they might very well take care of it. His knowledge saved me a lot of money. He was absolutely right. He did fix it and I did not have to pay a dime. I was very pleased.

Scheduled service on Monday morning. The technician called to set time for Tuesday morning. Arrived at scheduled time, did the job quickly, and professionally. Very pleasant and courteous. Charges were reasonable, given the fact that there was a mileage surcharge of $69.00.

Appointment was set with company on 12/30/06 for 2/1/06. I would have liked a quicker appointment, but we have an extra fridge in the garage, and I would rather wait for a company recommended by Angies List. Service Technician Jerry called 2/1 AM and advised he would arrive between 8:30 and 10:00 AM. He arrived at 8:55. Jerry was courteous, efficient, confidence-inspiring and most important knowledgeable. He made a quick diagnosis, replaced the faulty part from inventory carried on his van, and re-checked the fridge to make sure his repair worked. Excellent! This is how it's done.
