es The appointments are 3 hour windows. You block out 3 hours of your day
and chances are good that a technician can make it within that window. I
wouldn't really call that punctuality.
The technician came to my
house on February 26,2014 to upgrade my panel. He helped set up the App
to access my alarm system. Everything seemed to be working fine when
the tech left.
On Tuesday, March 3, I armed the system on my way to
work and it immediate triggered an alarm on my Family Room windows.
These windows haven't been opened in weeks.
Monitoring called me to verify that everything was fine.
Then 30 minutes later, my alarm was triggered again on the same window.
I called Foresight to explain that my alarm system was triggering without anything breaking the contact with the sensors.
On March 5, a different technician came out and replaced the board in the panel.
While he was at the house, he was resetting a glass break detector and
accidentally dropped the device and its 3Volt lithium batteries on my
wood table, which left a smash impression in my table top.
I called the Service Manager with Foresight and explained what had happened.
The Service Manager asked me what I thought the repair would cost.
I told him that I have no idea of what a repair like that would cost, that I would contact wood furniture repair expert and get back to him. I checked Angie's List for possible vendors.
Vendor #1 responded "A repair on top surface is hard to hide , most finishes are lacquer,
surface repair 95.00-125.00, 45.00 trip charge applies to repair. Thanks ",
The Service Manager's response was
"$150 seems to be somewhat high. I understand the trip charge since we also charge something to come out, but from the photo you sent me the top of the table appears to be partially ?distressed? wood and the damage the size of a quarter. I could be off base, but just letting you know from by observation. If it would be possible to obtain another bid, it would be appreciated."
Vendor #2
We spoke on the phone. He explained that the entire table top would need to be refinished. You can do a spot repair on a table top. His email estimate was "Hi Ken my estimate to do that repair on site is 225. Thank you"
Vendor #3
After looking at the pictures of the damage to the top of the kitchen
table I am afraid we would not attempt to repair this damage. As far as
I can tell, the damage is so severe even if we refinished the top the
damage would still show through the refinishing. If it were my table I would ask for replacement cost because I am sure that
no one will be able to repair the damage to where it is not noticeable.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
On March 27, 2014, I sent an email to the Service Manager with the comments from the repair vendors.
On March 28, The Foresight Manager agreed to allow the cheapest of the three vendors (Vendor #1)to complete the repair and the vendor would just have to submit an invoice or allow Foresight to pay with a credit card.
On April 8, Vendor #1 responded that he does not take credit cards and he needs to be paid on the spot.
On April 18, I forwarded the vendor response to Foresight and asked what our next step should be.,
May 5, I haven't heard back from Foresight, so I sent another follow up email to Foresight.
At this point, I feel that I have been extremely patient and cooperative, yet I get the impression that my damaged table is not important to Foresight.
I made the mistake of renewing a contract with this vendor, allowing them into my home multiple times to fix the system that they couldn't upgrade properly on their first visit. Their technician damaged my property and Foresight is definitely not making much of an effort to fix what they damaged.
On May 20 2014, I called my Sales person, Erica. She told me that the Manager that I was dealing with is not longer there. She told me that she would have the new manager contact me.
June 23 2014, Never received a call from Foresight. And I still have a damaged table.
