At first everything was going great. They told me what needed to be done, they immediately tore out the walls, cleaned up the mold, and set up the dehumidifiers. However, it turns out when they put on the mold-killing paint, it trapped all the moisture in, so the dehumidifiers couldn't work properly. This went on for nearly a WEEK before a new person came out to check on it, and discovered the issue. A week of these huge, loud, HOT, machines running for no reason. My power bill skyrocketed, and my house was at 102 degrees at all times. We couldn't be in our house at all, and had to sleep in a back room on the floor. We couldn't use our kitchen, so we had to eat out every night. We contemplated getting a hotel. I don't know why no one else thought of it, or why it took a week of checking on it daily to figure it out. I think they may have been sapping my insurance company for their money. Then, after the walls were dried, I had to schedule an appointment for the construction guys to put everything back. They were busy, so I had to schedule 2 weeks out. Annoying, but fair. I waited the 2 weeks, and the day they're supposed to be here, no one shows up. I call the office, they said that they'd come and knocked and called me. I had no missed calls, and if they had knocked, my dogs would have barked like crazy to let me know. Turns out, they gave the construction guys the WRONG NUMBER, so I never got that call. They apologized for the mistake, and even though it had only been a few hours since they missed me, I had to reschedule for another 2 WEEKS OUT. My house is a mess, I can't use my bathroom, I'm going insane with how long this is taking, and I have to wait 2 weeks for THEIR mistake. I'm past the point of anger and depression, I'm in the acceptance phase. The guys come, they are very nice, put everything together in a couple of days, everything was fine. I was a little upset that they broke the granite back splash in my kitchen, but they had a specialist come out to fix it at no cost to me. However, they did break my kitchen sink somehow, and it's like the hot water has turned off. They sent a guy out to fix it, and he replaced a piece and I thought it was all good, until the next day, when it didn't work again. This time they sent out a different guy, and wow, the guy before apparently didn't put it on right, because it literally EXPLODED in his face. There was water all over my kitchen, puddling up about an inch. I felt so sorry for this guy, he was drenched and worried he'd ruined my cabinets. It wasn't his fault, it was the guy before. Bottom line, they said the faucet was broken and it wasn't THEIR fault??????????? I had a working faucet before they messed with it, and now I don't. But somehow it's my fault and I need to pay for it. Now I have to spend $200 to replace a faucet they messed up.... Now at this point, I just want this nightmare to be over. I've been gracious and happy and understanding up until this point, but I am just so done. Guy comes out to do his walk through and hands me the bill. At this point, they've already billed my insurance company an extra $3000. I went out and bought the vanity to be replaced, and my budget was $600, but I only paid $300 for it. I would think I would get an extra $300 back. No. They said that the extra $300 was for installing the vanity. Installing it cost as much as the **** thing????? I don't want to fight it at this point, I just want them out of my house, and for this to be over once and for all. I do have to say that they were very responsive, and someone always answered the phone right away, and had someone out that same day for the little things, and were always calling to check in. But at the same time, they had scheduled appointments with me which they no-showed on several occasions, and I had to call in to make sure someone was actually coming, and other times, they would just SHOW UP at my house, no call, no warning. Overall, I don't want to have to deal with this company ever again....
