Their agent gave us misleading information about the work. They reported that for $1950, they will remove the damaged area, reinstall the water heater and rebuild the dry wall. After payment and them removing the dry wall, they completely back tracked from their commitment and told me that they are not a rebuild company. They need to send someone over to do a new estimate for the rebuild. All this is very distressing and troubling. The work remains incomplete. Never had the experience of working with a dishonest company like this.

Worst most dishonest company there is. First they quoted me 1800 which became 3500. Then they damaged my home ( mold they were supposedly supposed to help avoid, wall damage, cabinet damage). They told me if I didn’t use insurance it would cost me less. Well that was a lie. They lack integrity and I hope no one has to use them in an emergency.

Horrible experience with this company. Felt taken advantage of right away by this company. It is a scam. Please if you can go with another restoration company I would without a doubt. They did nothing to solve the actual problem which I still have. I’m an honest hardworking middle class person and they scammed me right away.

Description of Work: Restoration services after a water leak. Set up fans and dehumidifiers. Demolition of damaged dry wall and cabinets. | |Never gave me an estimate for their services-- stated they would negotiate with my insurance company. | |Workers worked hard and cleaned up, but the team changes virtually every day, which meant that they story I was being told changed every day-- a bit frustrating. | |Dry Force pretty much assumed I was going to use their "sister" construction company to perform the repairs. I opted not to.

Dry Force was extremely customer oriented. I had sent an email at 6:15 p.m. asking a question, and got a response in less than an hour via phone. They went the 'extra mile' in ensuring we were satisfied with their service.

They told me they were not going to do more work, after the 3 days and I had to file a complaint. I was out of my home for over 2 months. They still didn’t complete the job. The paint didn’t match, the texture was off and they did not clean up well either. They were not customer oriented and not professional. They are misleading and they do a horrible job. Every level of their management came out and they were horrified with what the crew had done. They refuse to fix things they had been done, that they said they didn’t do that. I had to do work myself and hire others to fix their work.
Description of Work: They came out and it was a horrible experience. They tried to fix my home in 3 days. They had to tear out drywall, put in carpeting, clean the grout, there was a list of things. They had to detach the cabinets as well.

It all went very well! See comments above.
Description of Work: Dry Force was recommended by our plumber. I know I was lucky that they could come out so quickly -- within an hour -- but I think they always try to come out the same day. The technician was very nice and professional. He used a moisture sensor and a thermal sensor to find places where there was moisture behind the shower wall and under our floors. Then he made recommendations for our plumbers. They didn't even charge us because this was considered an estimate. (If the plumbers find wet drywall or mold, then we would need Dry Force's services.) I'm very glad we had Dry Force out, because now we know where our plumbing problems lie.

In August my house suffered some water damage. The Parker and Son plumber recommended we call Dry Force. Dry Force came out in a timely manner and recommended repair. The downside is they recommend you call the 1-800 number rather than your insurance agent. Had I went through my insurance agent I would have had 3 choices of contractors and an additional warranty on the the repair but unfortunately papers had already been signed. Dry Force would not give me an estimate stating they used the same program as the insurance adjustor. The work that was done was fine till it came to the cabinets. The project manager and the contractor said there was not enough money to replace the cabinets because the allocation was in linear feet not per unit. The contractor opted to repair the cabinets. They look fine. There are no water marks or warping. The contractor was very professional and did a good job. When the walk thru was done it was pointed out to the project manager the cabinets were not replaced only repaired as was evidenced by the contact paper still being in place. He became angry and stated he was going to Home Depot himself and if the contractor wouldn't replace the cabinets he would find someone who would. Approximately 2 weeks later we were contacted for a 2nd walk thru and a new project manager was sent out. Again it was pointed out the cabinets had only been repaired but I was satisfied. The 2nd project manager took my copy of the insurance adjustor's estimate of repair and left for a while. When he returned he said he had talked to the 1st project manager and they would give me $700 of the $2100 allocated. I complained that I felt that was too much as it appeared there was minimal repair to the cabinets and I wanted an invoice of the materials used, their cost and the time required for repair. The workers were to be signing in and out . The 2nd project manager apologized for not being involved in the beginning and stated he would try to get me a better price but the 1st project manager would probably insist on cabinet replacement and he left. He had to be reminded to return my copy of the insurance adjustor's report. I called my adjustor and was told it was my right to request an invoice. I told him I was satisfied with the work that was done on the cabinets. The 2nd project manager called and stated they were going to order relpacement cabinets, I refused and stated I would not accept them. I want an invoice. He said he would talk to his supervisor and get right back with me. This was before Thanksgiving. Now they have enough money for cabinets?? The adjustor was not allocating anymore money. I didn't hear from Dry Force until a week after the new year. They are wanting a 3rd walk thru and I still have no invoice. Nothing has changed since the 1st walk thru or the 2nd walk thru. I told them nothing had changed and I wanted an invoice so I could settle up with them. They took my new address as I have sold the house and told they me they would send me one. I still have no invoice and they are again calling for a 3rd walk thru and stated I still owe them $2100. I feel they don't want to provide me with an invoice because they are trying to take all the insurance money allocated for the cabinets rather than what had been spent on repair. I will never use them again. Always call your insurance company for recommendation. It was an emergent situation I had never dealt with and signed papers I regret signing because I would have gotten at least a better warranty via the insurance company and estimate from the contractors of the work they would do because the insurance adjustor was generous in his estimate and Dry Force has taken it all except what I'm witholding due to the dispute over the cabinets. Dry Force also wants the insurance company to send them the money directly. Mine would not do that, if they did I would have no leverage and probably never hear from Dry Force again. This has been going on since August 2012.
Description of Work: In August my house suffered water damage. The Parker and Son plumber recommended we call Dry Force. The walls in several areas were taken up 2 feet. Ionizers and drying equipment were used. Walls replaced and painted. Vanity and hall cabinets were to be replaced but due to allocation of money they were repaired which was fine. There were no water marks or warping. Things have gone downhill since.

I was taking a shower one evening, and the water did not drain in the tub. I assumed it was just a clogged drain, but I also smelled raw sewage. Upon checking in the kitchen, I saw water collecting under the kitchen counter. The next day, when the plumber came out, he unclogged the drain, and I casually mentioned that I also had some sewage leakage, (not much) in the kitchen area. He told me I had to IMMEDIATELY get that taken care of, because I now have contamination in my house! So, he gave me Dry Force's number. They came out that same day. They carefully explained the whole process, including cutting out the drywall, setting up a plastic perimeter, and putting in big fans to dry out the wood studs. Needless to say, this was a shock and I had to make some quick decisions.(Thankfully my home insurance covered it, so I only had to pay the deductible. They would take the claim as payment) So I did sign permission for them to start the work. I am so glad I did! Everyone who came to the house, be it the supervisor, the technicians or the guy who tore out the wet drywall, were a pleasure to work with. They were clean, polite, on-time and knowledgeable. They monitored the moisture level carefully and told me to call whenever I had any concerns. After they took away the fans, I thought I saw some mold so I called them. Someone came by shortly and reassured me it wasn't, but put some more disinfectant on the wood anyway. They even insisted that they be there when the claims adjuster was there, to make sure they were in agreement with his findings. Even though this was an unexpected and sudden event, I would not hesitate to use Dry Force again. They made a negative situation more tolerable and told me that I can call them any time in the future, and they will come out to check on things. A great experience!
Description of Work: I had a sudden sewer back-up, which released raw sewage into the walls of my kitchen, breakfast nook and behind my wetbar.
