John showed up shortly after contacting him. Was able to fix the problem the next day.

He told me it would cost 11.00 dollars as there was a lot of repair needed. That he would throw in doing the end caps and paint them if I had the paint. I said no and then he quickly said he would do it for 900 dollars. I am 86 and I trusted him and was feeling if I needed that much work that I should do it. I was not able at my age to climb a ladder and look at the damage he said was there. He said they would clean up all the dropped cement from the end cap repairs. One person--a hispanic male who could speak fairly good English showed up and spent about 2 1/2 to 3 hours on the roof and when it started getting dusk, he climbed down and said he would be back tomorrow to finish. Unfortunately I had already given the 900 dollar check to John Raines the supposed owner. The workman left with his ladder and left my paint and brush I provided and that h is the last I have seen or heard from this Company.

The owner of the company stayed and helped the workers. He wanted to be sure that I was satisfied with the work(which I was). He was a young man getting started and I think he will do well in his business venture.

He kept us informed about what needed to be done and what they were doing.

Went very well.  The operator is very accommodating and meets expectations satisfactorily.

The men sanded areas where it was needed, the taped all the doors, windows, finishes that needed as well as laid plastic coverings over lamp shades, outdoor lighting, etc.  They power washed, sanded & primed all areas necessary.  They primed the areas that needed, which was a lot and even painted an area of the carport so that we could get a better idea of the colors we chose.  They arrived at 8am and left at 5pm.  Prior to leaving they gathered most all of their equipment and belonging and took it with them but they left some in our backyard and was here ready to go when they arrived the next morning at 7:30am.  They were very kind and courteous to our needs of coming and going and were never out spoken or angry to what we were wanting or how we wanted portions of the house painted.  They were here to do as we the customer had wanted.

The initial contractor came by the house around 2pm the first day to check on the job and our satisfaction.  We presented him with a post-mark dated check which he was happy to receive and did not charge us extra for the extra paint which was needed as we had decided to extend some of one color on other areas of the house.  After the initial painting was done the men walked around and replaced everything they removed, picked up their equipment and drop cloths and walked around with rollers to touch up areas that were in need. The contractor will return later today to do a walk through with us.

The job is not complete as of this time but it will be done today.  We would definitely hire them again for any other job we have - they also do roofing.  And I've already recommended them to several friends and our next door neighbor.

Desert Sands' crew promptly arrived at the scheduled time.  The prep work had been done the prior afternoon and the paint job was completed in one day.  Exceptional work!  The crew was professional, hard-working (no multiple breaks other than a reasonable lunch period), and went above and beyond by repairing minor stucco damage without additional charge.  They were meticulous in their work and attention to details.  Their equipment was up-to-date and well maintained.  We were extremely pleased that not only do they spray, but also follow up with double-rolling the paint to ensure longevity and thorough coverage.   The crew was professional in every way.  They cleaned up after themselves; no mess; no chaos.  The only thing they left behind was a clean, well-painted house!  We HIGHLY recommend Desert Sands Contracting in Mesa, AZ.
