Bennett Property Management Inc

I've been renting with Bennett Property Management for 3 and half years now and have been working with Jodi Brace. When our last lease was up we decided to try and buy a home instead of renewing. After giving my 30 day notice, Jodi informed me that the property owner would like to extend me a new lease at the same rate I was paying for the previous year, instead of the increased renewal rate I was first given. After taking some time to think about it we eventually decided to accept the offer. Fast forward a couple months later and as I'm paying my rent I realize I'm being over charged. Thinking it was just an error I call Jodi for clarification. She now not only denies making the offer, she's also informed me that she never even talked to the homeowner about the deal and tells me it's my fault for signing the lease agreement without making sure the offer was correct. Silly me for assuming after working with her for 3 years that she wouldn't try to screw me. I wouldn't recommend going to Jodi Brace for any of your rental needs and unfortunately that includes Bennett Property Management.

Broken window and the fix was prompt as expected. 
Dripping ceiling hole from the rain was not fixed from rains Sunday night.  Bennett insist that unless the other property mgt company fixes the roof they can not fix the whole.  I rent from Bennett.  Bennett says they contacted the other Mgt company 5 days ago 9/8/2014 and gave them my information.  No call for roofing services, I contacted Bennett rep and Bennett has not followed up with the Mgt company.    
Flooded Living Room.  Subcontractor was there promptly to dry carpets and remove padding.  Subcontractor confirms water game from foundation not the wall, window, or door.  Bennett has not responded to my request as to where they stand on this repair.  I rent from Bennett.  Since it's foundation, the next time it rains it will flood.  Since it's an older building I tend to think this has to have happened to prior residence in the same townhome. Currently, unable to stay in townhome due to chemicals used for killing of mold and bacteria.

They have been excellent. They really take care of everything and they try to limit any hassle for us as the property owner. They make is very seamless and easy and takes the stress away renting that property out. They take care of everything.

Jodi and Bennett have been fantastic from day one.  When we were trying to decide on a property management company for a home we purchased for ourselves but unfortunately were not able to move into as planned, we interviewed multiple different companies in the area and Bennett was one of the few that dedicated a Property Manager to our home.  Knowing that we'd be interacting with the same person and building a working relationship with them was important to us and Jodi has not disappointed.  This was not just a 'rental' but rather our 'home' and we wanted a company and a Property Management company that would take just as much care in managing our home as we would.

Living out of state it is particularly difficult for us to assist with things in the area and Jodi has been fantastic, doing all the on-site legwork, even interfacing with insurance companies for insurance covered appliance repair.  She is always very responsive to any questions we have and has made our experience very easy and enjoyable.

We would highly recommend Bennett Property Management, and especially Jodi Brace!!

In January 2013, my wife and I were relocated to Washington DC and had to quickly find a property manager to help us rent and provide ongoing management services for our home in Chandler, Arizona. As a result of a friend's referral, we contacted Jodi Brace and interviewed her as one of three potential property managers. Of the three individuals we interviewed, Jodi was the most responsive, professional, and insightful. She was prompt/on-time, listened to our concerns, and provided suggestions to help us prepare our home for rental. Since hiring Jodi (Bennett Property Management Inc.) in February 2013 (11 months ago), we have been very pleased with Jodi's service. She was able to quickly rent our home to highly qualified tenants, and has continued to be very responsive to our calls. When problems do arise with our property, Jodi is quick to inform us and takes the appropriate actions to  resolve any issues. We look forward to continuing to work with Jodi and Bennett Property Management and highly recommend their services!

Having read prior reviews here, I called and asked for Jodie, and worked with her.  She is totally professional but personable.  She had answers for every question of mine, and had questions for me that no previous property manager had thought to ask. Of course, it's pretty easy to "talk a good story" but I have found her to be absolutely as she presents herself.  Totally professional. She does what she says she's going to do, or tells you exactly why she couldn't and when and how she will.  She makes suggestions, if asked, about options.  She informs about common practice, but always listens to what you have to say. Although I it has only been a few weeks since I signed up with her, she has handled a number of different issues in a manner that I would consider admirable.  And - she keeps me informed of what's going on.  She has a lot of experience in the industry, and Bennett Prop Mgmt has very sophisticated and thorough processes in place to protect everyone involved.  I have been quite impressed.

Everything went very smoothly. Jodi did a great job! She is always very responsive. Did a good job finding a renter for our home. She has handled all aspects of the rental process well.

Neither Landlord or subsequent Tenant had a favorable impression working with Bennett.

Never have anything to do with this company! My house was destroyed by tenant. They took advantage that I was transfer out of state and I was totally dependent on them delivering the Professional property management they boasted about themselves. They cost me thousands of dollars and did nothing other than charge me legal fees for finally taking the tenants to court at my instance to have them evicted. Horrible, costly experience would NEVER recommend them to my worst enemy. BTW: I took photos of before and after they destroyed my property and had neighbors come in to see the incredibly disgusting condition my house was left in and the damage that was done while in their care! We decided to hire Bennett to manage two of our family's rental homes.  One of the managers in particular, Jodi, was recommended by my brother.  Another family member had experience with a different manager at Bennett that wasn't very favorable.  However, our experience with Jodi at Bennett has been great.  She has been very professional, courteous, and prompt about resolving issues.  She has been great about finding good tenants and keeps us in the loop as much as we want to be involved.  She has been a pleasure to work with.  We've had no negative experiences in the three years we've been utilizing their services.

My husband and I had to move suddenly for a new job and needed to rent our home quickly.  In the span of a few weeks, we contacted and interviewed several property managers and had some very different experiences.  The worst being a person from a company that was highly rated on other rating sites but who didn?t show up for two different appointments.  The best being the two individuals from Bennett Property Management who came to their appointments on time and well prepared.  
Anne McCawley, one of Bennett?s owners, came to the first appointment.  She was professional in appearance and in the way she conducted herself.  She came prepared with comparable rentals in our area (none of the other property managers did this), she was able to provide answers to all our questions, and she even offered suggestions on how to get the property ready to rent knowing we were interviewing other managers.  After this meeting, we were feeling confident that Bennett Property Management was a good company to work with but decided to do some additional searching online about their company.  What we found brought up some concerns, so we waited and continued to interview other companies. 
After having difficulty finding a company that fit our needs, we decided to ask Anne to let us interview the person that would actually be managing our property.  She agreed and within a couple days we had an interview with Jodi Brace.  Just as with Anne, Jodi presented herself professionally and was able to answer most of our questions.  When we asked some more technically challenging questions about how to fix up our home before renting, Jodi was honest with us and stated that she would have to ask her contractor.  After this discussion, we were again favorably impressed with the professionalism and knowledge a Bennett employee demonstrated.  We decided to ask them to manage our property and we have not been disappointed. 
Jodi has been extremely helpful.  She had several prospects lined up to view the house the same day the ad went out, we had a signed rental contract before we were even out of the house, and the tenants moved in 15 days after it was available. Whenever we have contacted Jodi with questions or maintenance requests, she has responded within a day and all maintenance has been completed in a timely manner.  Due to the number of requests, this was not easy. However, Jodi kept us informed of the progress of each task and was even able to resolve, with the help of her team, some issues that we had not been able to resolve.  While the relocation and house preparations tended to be overwhelming, Jodi?s promptness and her calm demeanor helped ease the stress.
