American Tree Masters

I was very pleased with the service however one of them dropped a trash can on my new bush & broke a branch which really disappointed me.

My experience with this company has been far less than how they speak of themselves on their website.  This has happened to me TWICE with this company, so apparently they don't teach their employees how to conduct themselves while working.  My neighbors hired them to cut their trees in their backyard.  For some reason, this company feels it is okay to use MY property as their work station.  They park in front of my house and literally drag huge branches from the trees right over my granite and my river rock, and they leave debris everywhere.  I just had my yard cleaned and these morons had no problems making a complete mess and leaving it for me to clean up.  I now have granite mixed all in with the river rock, and river rock moved out of place from where it belongs, plus tree leaves and debris.  I called the owner THREE times yesterday and he didn't bother to return my call, unacceptable!  This is the 2nd time this company has done this to my house when working on my neighbor's yard, so clearly this is not a one-time mistake.  Do NOT use this company, unless if you want to be liable for damage done to surrounding homes/yards.  Someone will be paying to clean up the mess that American Tree Masters made on my yard, when they had no permission or right to be on my property to begin with!!!

We called Dan, the owner, to come out and give us an estimate  to do another trim on our trees.  Obviously 2 years of Arizona caused quite a bit of growth.  So, again, they trimmed 2 larger  palms and so forth.  We discussed how high we wanted to raise the level of the citrus so that our chickens still have a place for shade all summer.  We discussed the way I wanted my peach tree trimmed  so that we can get the most fruit and be able to access them more easily.     Then we moved out to the front of the house, where we talked about trimming the young apricot and the monster eucalyptus.  Dan quoted us $746.00 total, including cleanup and shredding.  Dan asked if we could work in an afternoon on1/22/2015, which we both agreed would work well.  They arrived  at 1:30 and they did an excellent job on everything I  described earlier.  Everything was cleaned up perfectly after they finished the job.  The trimmer who handled the eucalyptus is amazing , he scrambled up into the tree like  someone who can only be described as a very skilled monkey!  (I said that to him and he wasn't offended,  LOL He said it wasn't the first time someone told him that!)  He goes all the way up to the center of the crown in the tree, and then trims his way down.  Just amazing!  They clean up better than I do myself, and the entire crew is very polite and friendly.  I truly have nothing that I can complain about!

I have had the trees trimmed in the past by my yard service guys, and what a difference between someone who does lawns and yards, to a service that handles very large trees in a residential area. American Tree Masters may charge a little more than another service, but here is something you should know. Imagine some guy who you hardly know with a chainsaw, ladder, and a rope, high up in a tree on your own property, and something happens. You are responsible because you are the boss. American Tree Masters is certified, credentialed, and insured, both property and their workers through individual workman's compensation. I give Dan Rigg an A rating for his time and pictures for my insurance company. I give Chris an A rating for the job he and his crew did. If you have a big job to do and you want it done right and safe, call Dan at American Tree Masters. 

American Tree Masters came out to my house to take down a tree. The first experience was rough, Dan was running late, and I wasn't sure but once he got here and we talked and he showed me everything he could do I was very impressed. His crew showed up with in 30 minutes of start of the window. They took the branches off as expected to protect the houses, then took the tree down. In about 2 hours the tree was gone and stump was ground up. They cleaned up everything and with exception to the grass not being where the tree was the lawn looked better before they started! I guess you can't expect them to grow grass instantly =) I would recommend them 100% and will call them for any needs in the future! Thank you guys!
Even when Dan was late for the estimate he called during the window and called to keep us updated. Very professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The workers were some of the most professional crews I have had the pleasure of working with they took pride in their work.

I used the service because they advertised next day service, but I didn't realize that it's next day from the estimate which can be a week away. When the work was performed, the crew was an hour late and I tried contacting the office and they couldn't give me any information, again because it was a call service. I am very glad I can get in and out of my garage again, but I wish this company spent more effort in customer service.

Dan visited and provided written estimate. They are bonded and cover workmen's insurance.
Crew showed up on time, took about 90 minutes to remove very tall and fat palm tree. Cleaned up afterwards. All crew members were very congenial.

American Tree Masters was just one of three arborists I met with about having a large ficus tree trimmed. They were friendly and much more informative than the other companies. So, I had already decided on having them do the work before they gave me their estimate and was surprised when their estimate came in beneath those of the other companies I had give me estimates. We scheduled the appointment right then and there. They showed up on time, did great work, and cleaned up the site when they were done. It's been about a year since they came out and the tree is doing great. They definitely trimmed and thinned it all out correctly and I will definitely call them the next time I need an arborist.

From the first phone call until the job was complete, I was completely satisfied.

Andrew and his crew arrived 10 minutes early which is unheard of ! They got right to work and did an awesome job. Their clean up was amazing, you cant even tell that they were here. I highly recommend Ameican Tree Masters.

Everything went great.  Took them a couple hours and the trees were gone, like they weren't even there.  The price was good and we are happy, now the area is clear for a pool.

Excellent service!  They did everything they said they would in a quick and professional manner. Price was considerably lower than other companies I checked with and they are also fully insured.
I called and left a message for a quote and Dan (owner) called me back very quickly. He scheduled an appointment for the  quote and arrived on time. I was given a written quote along with a full explanation of what would be done.
The day of the removal, the crew arrived on time and double checked what was to be done. They asked relevant questions about sprinkler lines, electrical, etc. to make sure  the job went smoothly.

They were prompt, efficient and polite. They removed the tree with out any damage even though it was located in a very tight spot next to two walls and a window.

The team was very professional and knowledgable.  They communicated very well and did everything that was requested. They even returned to regrind an area that I had questions. Very easy to work with and fast to resolve any issues.

We called Dan, owner of American Tree Masters on Mon 7/15 and he made an appointment to come out for an estimate on 7/17 around 4-6p.m.  We needed an arborist who could handle the removal of a huge cactus that was leaning on the roof of our house.
Dan arrived at 4 and he reviewed everything that needed to be done with  my husband.  He checked his schedule and told us that they could be out on Mon, 7/22 around noon to 1 p.m.  We told Dan they could come earlier if they finished the other job sooner.  They arrived at about 10 a.m.  and the cactus remover got to work right away.  They removed it and completely cleaned up the debris.  They then worked on the Palm and overhanging branches.  Again completely cleaned up all debris and managed to do it without scaring our 50 free range chickens to death.
They then moved out front to tackle the trim on our huge eucalyptus.  The guy who did the canopy clearance and balanced the tree was FANTASTIC!    It is perfectly trimmed, it looks beautiful, the wind during the monsoon can now go through the tree without fear of loosing branches, or our roof!  They put all the branches through the shredder , made sure that everything was clear.  They used a blower to clean the street and clear anything that was left on the cul du sac.  I think they were done with everything by about 4 p.m.  They walked us through the work areas again, to make sure everything was satisfactory.  They were all ready to go and, again, used the blower on the street to make sure everything was perfect before they left.
This afternoon, Dan, called to make sure that we were happy and I told him we were more that happy and to feel free to use us a referral for other customers.  I could not be more pleased with  their work ethic, and I would recommend them to anyone!

The removal of our 45 foot tall cactus done with safety and precision by the owner who had two men helping with power and hand tools, ropes, a stump grinder, and of course - removal.  This was in a tight area that only allowed manual labor.  It was an all day project in 109 degree Arizona temperatures.  There was no damage to pool, spa, fence, bushes, or patio, even though the 'drop area' was restricted to about 8' by 10'.   The pool was about 5? from the cactus on one side, the spa about the same distance, and 180 degrees from the pool was our view fence, which was about 2? feet from the cactus ? tight spot with a capitol ?C? indeed!.
 It was impressive to see all the thought that went into each piece being removed so that it would come down in areas avoiding any of the areas of pool etc. The owner continually hosed down the kool deck surrounding the pool to avoid stains. The owner made sure the edges of the pool were protected with wooden pallets, strategically placed to buffer the impact of each item that was removed and dropped from the cactus. Everything was carefully thought out. The owner?s men were very courteous and hard workers.  When the largest part of the cactus came down the owner and his two men breathed a sigh of relief and mutually acknowledged a job well done with a ?high five?.
It was a tough job calling for precision, and laced with danger. The owner, Dan actually got into the pool several times to clean up all the debris and to ensure that the cactus needles were removed from the bottom of the pool (very much appreciated!).  All debris was loaded onto the truck and hauled away. I would highly recommend this company.  It is fully insured and rated with the Better Business Bureau with no complaints. The owner provided me with a copy of his 2 Million Liability Policy and his Workers Compensation on a certificate of insurance.  I called his insurance company to be ensured these had not been cancelled and they were both in force so I was self assured that we were all set to sign the contract.
Very well done, and a spiffy clean-up to boot.  It was a big, dangerous job, and well worth the money spent.

It went great, I was really impressed with the quality of work and the how quickly they completed the job. They showed up in a large tree truck and arrived on time and spoke with me before they began work - they explained what they'd be trimming, how they would perform the work and asked me if I had any questions or specific branches I'd like trimmed.  After they finished, they again spoke with me to make sure their work was completed to my satisfaction and I was very impressed!! The tree looks great, and was trimmed off my roof and thinned out considerably to let light into my backyard. I will now use them for any job in the future, and have already recomended them to two of my friends who need tree work done.
