I can't begin to express how disappointing my experience with A1 Roofing was. I initially chose them based on a friend's recommendation, but that was a mistake. It started off with a free estimate that quickly turned into a pushy sales pitch—felt like I was buying a used car rather than simply getting an estimate! Despite that, I decided to move forward, hoping for a smooth process. Boy, was I wrong. The project manager was consistently dishonest throughout the entire process. They promised quick follow-ups and a start date in October, but we didn’t even get started until the third week of November. Every time I reached out, I was told it would be "just a few more days." After weeks of waiting, I began to lose trust. Once the project was finally "completed," the issues didn’t end there. The project manager claimed the entire list of unfinished items had been addressed, but when I went up to check myself, I found five things still not completed. The last part of the project was the installation of a rain gutter, which turned into a long waiting game. I was told for weeks that it was still being fabricated, only to later learn that the crew responsible for installing it was backed up. After weeks of waiting, I just asked them to forget the gutter and send me a final "paid in full" invoice. I had to ask a dozen times, but never received the "paid in full" invoice. Meanwhile, their accounting department was quick to send me invoices at every stage of the project, but when it came time to resolve issues, no one seemed to care or take responsibility. I even tried contacting other people in the company for help—no luck there either. Management is unresponsive, and even the salesperson couldn't get his boss to respond. I will give credit where it's due—the crew that did the actual work were hardworking and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The project manager’s dishonesty and the lack of communication and accountability from the company made this a frustrating and exhausting experience. Based on my experience and the C+ BBB rating, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
