My roofing underlayment was over 20 years old and leaked during the rains over the Christmas holidays. I knew it was past time for a re-roof job. I had a couple of companies come out for estimates just after Christmas. Joe, the owner of Ultraroof, gave me a great estimate and was able to get a crew available much sooner than the other much larger companies. I also liked that he doesn't use the typical tar paper underlayment and uses a slightly raised roofing batten (which are more expensive) to prevent water from damming up under the tile. Rain caused the crew to start a couple days later than promised and caused a 1/2 day delay during the install, but other than that they got it done when he said they would. They did a good job, and it was good to see the owner on site several hours each day that work was being done. I would, and did, recommend Ultraroof to others, as he did the roof of a friend of mine shortly after my roof was finished.

The roofers were very professional, clean and thorough. The job was done in the originally proposed 4 days with the home cleaned every night after the work day. This allowed the normal activity of the home to take place after hours without mess and the roofing vehicles blocking the way.

Joe Ward of ULTRA ROOF AND EXTERIORS, INC. was very responsive to my call and went out of his way to demonstrate that I could count on his company to do right by me since I had been taken advantage of by another contractor who had left me high, but not dry! When Joe Ward came out to look at the roof and determine the extent of the job, he saw immediately that there were major issues, including a hole in my roof that was exposed to the elements. I knew that I would be working with a reliable contractor if I chose ULTRA ROOF AND EXTERIORS as this was the contractor my neighbor had selected to do his roof and he was happy to suggest that others use based upon his personal experience. With rain in the forecast, I was anxious to get the work started as soon as possible given the roof's exposure to the elements. Although their work schedule was booked up, Joe scheduled two of his men to show up a day or two later to clear off the roof (debris and all), cover the hole with 1/2and quot; plywood, install the metal drip edge, then install new felt over the exposed area. By doing up to this stage of the project, at least my roof would be protected if it rained before their return.
At a later date, Joe and two of his men returned to complete all of the remaining tasks. They installed the shingles, installed a solar attic fan, sealed and painted all roof penetrations to blend with the shingles, trimmed the valleys (even the ones in front left uneven by the other contractor), picked up any stray nails or staples, hauled trash away, and provided me with workmanship and leak warranty.
I was very pleased not only with the quality of the work and level of professionalism, but the level of concern extended to me. After months of worry, it was so nice to know that the roof was in good condition and it could rain without consequences.
