OFAM Residential and Commercial Painting

Had to call several times to get a return call. At the first appointment for an estimate, they were a no-show. The second appointment they showed up, and we discussed the job in detail. They were to do a written estimate, but we never got the estimate nor a follow-up phone call.

Marvin was our contact for the project, and did a great job with the estimate, obtaining color samples, and ensuring that the job was done well. House was pressure washed ahead of time, etc., and they had 3-4 people on the job to make sure it was done in the two days they estimated. They used Dunn-Edwards paints, which are excellent quality. Overall we were extremely pleased with the work! We'd have them out again for another project.

Our new colors are very different from the old, and OFAM made sure to give thorough coverage to everything. Although the schedule slipped a day or so, due to the job before us having a delay, OFAM was very good about letting us know what was going on and/or returning our calls when we had questions. Zimbalist's wife, Rogetta, handles the phone and was always pleasant and accommodating. A previous review indicated that someone had trouble getting their house completed in a timely fashion. We found out that there was a death in the family at that time which caused the delay. Also, that same person had commented on a charge coming through from Dunn-Edwards paint store. Since OFAM does not take credit, but the Dunn-Edwards store does, OFAM has an arrangement with Dunn-Edwards to process customer credit cards and get store credit for the purchase of paint. We paid 1/2 by credit up front, and the other 1/2 cash upon completion and had this arrangement spelled out in our contract.

Very quick to come out and estimate the job but took 2 weeks to get the written bid to me, despite my giving him my email address.

Initial scheduling was challenging due to delay in the painters to return phone calls. Project was scheduled to take 1 1/2 days. Project was completed in 4 days due to lack of manpower. Painters did not start on time. Quality of workmanship deteriorated as time went on. Very pleasant owners.

Primary contact was with owner (Zimbalist Oldham) and his wife, Rogetta. Both were courteous, professional, and pleasant to deal with. Price was neither highest or lowest of 4 companies who submitted bids. Overall, quality of work is excellent. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family and would hire them again for future jobs within their scope.

Incredibly professional, even the helpers. Mr Zimbalist was able to communicate in Spanish with his workers. His wife is the office manager & she was good, too. He was the low bidder & finished in only 24 hrs. They had crews of people doing different things & it was as efficient as an assembly line.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A LITTLE STRANGE. THEY HAVE GOOD RATINGS, I'M JUST NOT SURE WHY THEY WEREN'T INTERESTED IN MY JOB.

We are so pleased with the overall experience in working with OFAM! They were so FAST and professional. The quote was professional in appearance and reasonable. The crew was very professional and the outcome was just amazing. We signed the contract one day, they came the next day and power washed the exterior. The very next day they primed, painted and cleaned up. Day four they came back and inspected, made any necessary touch ups and returned the furniture, etc. to the original locations. I really thought that this type of service and work was non-existent in this day and age. The house looks fantastic! I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know who's looking for painting. This company is the best I've ever used.

THEY DO ALL PREP WORK AND CLEAN-UP. THE OWNERS ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND EASY TO WORK WITH. WE HAD ISSUES WITH GETTING TOUCH UP PAINT FOR THE INSIDE AND THE OWNER HIMSELF PERSONALLY HANDLES MY CONCERNS WITH GREAT PROFESSIONALISM AND SPEED. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

WHEN IT CAME FOR TIME TO PAY FOR THE JOB, THE PRINCIPALS (ZIMBALIST/MARVIN) ASKED FOR A CHECK TO BE MADE OUT TO MARVIN PERSONALLY AND NOT TO OFAM. THEIR WEBSITE SAYS CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED, BUT THEY DID NOT ACCEPT THE CREDIT CARD PAYMENT I OFFERED. BOTH ZIMBALIST AND MARVIN WERE CORDIAL AND DEMONSTRATED A PROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR. ZIMBALIST, WHO DID THE ESTIMATING, WAS SLOW TO RETURN CALLS. I HAD DECIDED TO PUT OFF PAINTING UNTIL FALL BECAUSE OF HEAT (AND I HAD NOT HEARD FROM HIM FOR SEVERAL WEEKS) WHEN HE DID CALL AND OFFERED TO DO THE JOB IMMEDIATELY (SAME DAY). THE SITUATION PUT ME UNDER PRESSURE TO MAKE AN ON-THE-SPOT DECISION. I DECIDED TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. A CREW CAME OVER AND, FROM ALL APPEARANCES, DID A DECENT JOB. THE PREP, PRIME, AND PAINT WERE ALL DONE IN ONE DAY. ONLY TIME WILL TELL HOW WELL THE PREP WORK WAS DONE, AND HOW WELL THE JOB WILL STAND UP DUE TO BEING APPLIED IN SUCH RAPID SEQUENCE TO 100 DEGREE-PLUS SURFACES.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB PAINTING DESPITE THE FACT THEY CAME TWO DAYS LATER THAN FIRST ANTICIPATED. THEY RETURNED TO CHECK ON OUR SATISFACTION AND GAVE US THE EXTRA PAINT.

THIS COMPANY IS FAST AND CAREFUL WITH A GOOD PRICE FOR THE WORK.

MR. MUHAMMED CAME TO OUR HOME PERSONALLY AND GAVE US A VERY COMPETITIVE BID. HE AND HIS CREW SHOWED UP ON TIME FOR THE WORK WITH A CREW. THEY TAPED ALL THE WINDOWS, ETC. FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. THE PAINTING OF THE EXTERIOR AND THE STUCCO FENCE AND PLANTERS TOOK ABOUT ONE FULL DAY. THEY REALLY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY RETURNED THE NEXT TWO MORNINGS TO WORK ON THE REPAIRS AND REFINISHING OF OUR FRONT AND BACK DOORS. THEY USED HIGH QUALITY DUNN-EDWARDS PAINT. THIS COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB. IN FACT, THEY PAINTED ABOUT 80% (PROBABLY MORE) OF THE HOUSES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

OFAM PAINTING IS VALLEYWIDE. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, QUICK AND THOROUGH. THEIR STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND VERY WILLING TO MAKE SURE I WAS SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY GAVE ME A WRITTEN ESTIMATE AND THEIR CREW WAS AT MY HOME FIRST THING THE NEXT MORNING. THEY TAPED AND SEALED OFF THE HOME AND PATCHED STUCCO CRACKS PRIOR TO PAINTING.
