Rick was very professional and finished both jobs on time. I was very pleased in the quality of work at a competitive price. I will definitely use them again for all my future needs.

The quality of what they installed was fine, but dealing with the owner/management of the company was a nightmare. They failed to let us know we needed a dedicated line for a microwave, despite our specifically inquiring about this before the work began. This necessitated an expensive after-the-fact electrical bill which they initially agreed to pay then refused to pay after the work was performed. In fact, they told us exactly who to call to get the repairs done and we did that, because they said they'd pay for that work. After arguing with the owner, he agreed to pay $100 towards the approximate $500 bill, but was insulting and arrogant. One employee blamed it on another employee, and the owner refused to acknowledge that even happened, essentially calling me a liar. Work that was supposed to be completed by July 1st was finished today (09-18), due to mistakes they made with the original granite countertop. The owner (Andy) was rude, abrasive and unpleasant to deal with. Several of the actual installers were helpful and professional, but we never experienced such a poor attitude from a contractor. I would never use them again or recommend them - their word means absolutely nothing, and they are extremely unprofessional towards their clients.
Response from K & L Ceramic
"Our #1 goal is customer satisfation. Occasionally, homeowners choose to take on the difficult role of a genral contractor. In this particular case, the outlet next to the new microwave location was not wired to handle the proper current needed to run a microwave. The homeowner and our employees had no idea that this would be an issue until the microwave was plugged in. Electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, and other subcontracted trades are ideally managed and supervised by a licensed general contractor. The final outcome of our scope of work was to the customer's satisfaction, though this process did prove to be frustrating for both of us. To help resolve the homeowner's project dilemma, we did some additional work at no charge and paid $100.00 toward the cost of hiring an electrical contractor to provide safe wiring for the microwave. At the bottom of our estimates and invoices, it states that we are not responsible for electric or plumbing, as we are not licensed or insured for these trades and are not capable to trouble shoot any unforeseen issues."
