They gave him a shot and that was it. They are good on the services, just that they are pricey. The animals are treated well.

The evening of our Monday afternoon visit to Stockton Hill Animal Hospital, one of our kitties, Piglet, was not feeling well following the vaccines she received. The next day she was worse, with swelling of her face and ears, and extremely agitated and uncomfortable. I called Dr. Kristen and explained, and she asked me to bring Piglet in. She agreed with my assessment and gave Piglet an injection of Benadryl and an IV of a steroid drug, and sent her home (no charge since it was vaccine-related) . That evening Piglet was doing better, and day 3 she was a little better, but not 100%. Day 4 she seemed fine, back to her old self. That night she started vomiting and on day 5 (Friday), she was lethargic and not eating or drinking. I called and took her back in to see the vet. Dr. Kristen gave Piglet an injection of an anti-nausea drug, and a antacid drug, and did blood work to rule out any other possibilities. She also gave me same type of drugs in pill form and some gentle food for Piglet to eat when her appetite resumed. At every step, Dr. Kristen told me to call if any questions or problems, and even provided me her cell phone number, since it was coming up on the weekend. On Saturday Piglet was no better, and still not eating or drinking anything. I talked to Dr. Kristen, who was out of town, and she strongly felt we needed to get Piglet on some IV fluids, since not eating or drinking can adversely affect kitties in a short amount of time. Since her vet tech was not available, Dr. Kristen drove home from two hours away to meet me at the vet clinic! She checked Piglet out, put her on IV fluids, and through the weekend, monitored and syringe fed her, while keeping in touch with me on her condition and progress. Piglet THANKFULLY started eating on her own finally on Sunday night, and got to come home on Monday. Dr. Kristen checked back with me several times to make sure she was doing ok. I have to say, I have never run across a vet that has been so caring and concerned with a 'patient' to go to the lengths Dr. Kristen has in this case. She and her staff at Stockton Hill Animal Hospital are AWESOME and truly care about the pets that come into their care. I am so glad to have this vet to care for my beloved pets!
