All the cats are housed in their own building away from the dogs. They each have their own suite with a window to go outside into an enclosed area. They are by themselves, but can see others and sniff the outside air. There is also play time with a staff member if owner desires. Pets can be picked up on Saturday and Sunday by appointment. I took advantage of this extra service. There were a lot of other owners doing the same. Everything was well organized and went well. Outside and inside area is always neat and clean. Will definitely use grandma's again.

The facilities are excellent. My two little dogs were well cared for, with high quality food and two treats per day standard. They shared the same kennel and run (for a bit of a discount). When I showed up to drop off the dogs an hour before closing and missing one inoculation, they first tried to reach a local vet to administer it, and failing that, sent me to a nearby feed store to pick up and give a nasal version of the vaccine (for kennel cough). This was enough for them to take the dogs in. I helped bring them in and so got to see the kennels, which were spacious and clean. When I arrived to pick them up the dogs were ready, fresh smelling and nicely trimmed up.

I have used the Going to Grandma's kennel several times over the past couple of years. I never like to leave my dog but sometimes it is necessary due to unavoidable travel. The staff treats our dog like she was family. Going to Grandma's cost more than other boarding facilities in the area but they are definitely the best. We always pay to put our dog into and quot;doggie day daycampand quot; on week days when boarding her. In doggie day daycamp, she spends the day playing with other dogs in a supervised environment. They still board my dog at night. Doggy daycare does not run weekends or holidays but for a small fee, which we pay for our dog, they take her out of the kennel into a run and play with her three times a day for at least 30 minutes, sometimes longer if they don't have many dogs receiving this service. They always take pictures of our dog playing with the other dogs and give us a report card on our dogs behavior, outlining any issues or anecdotal moments for us. Our dog loves it there. She never even looks back when we drop her off because she is excited to visit the staff and other dogs. Whenever we come to pick her up she is generally playing with other dogs and seems to be having the time of her life. She loves the other dogs and appears to truly like the staff. As long as I can afford it I will never board my dog anywhere else. Since they are the best around they are often booked up. Its advisable to book as early as possible to ensure your dog gets in. They also have a and quot;cat hoteland quot;, and board horses. Your four legged friend must have all of its shots up to date. They will feed your dog their food or if you prefer they will feed your dog your food, as well as administer any required medications.

Simply put, Goin' To Grandma's is the best.I won't fill up this space with superlatives but the dogs loved it there and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend it. Mary and Glenn run the best place I have ever kenneled a dog. Period. Be warned, though, that if you harbor a fantasy of starting your own dog boarding facility, Goin' To Grandma's will cure you of it.

It was really awesome not having to worry at all about the safety and security of my pups. They were excited to see us when we got back but I knew they were well cared for. I missed them tremendously though.

It always goes well. The dogs look forward to going to see their friends and socialize with new ones. They are happy and so are we.

Goin' To Grandma's is a full-service boarding facility for dogs and cats. Their services include boarding for both dogs and cats, Doggie Day Camp, pet grooming, a store with dog and cat food and supplies, and they do dog training as well. It is owned and run by Mary and Glenn Baxter, both real animal lovers. All of the staff I have met are real animal lovers as well. You will feel very comfortable leaving your pet here from the moment you walk in the door. I had Beau and Maggie stay for 3 days and 2 nights (the last day they did Doggie Day Camp); they stayed in the same kennel together, which you get a discount on for having them stay together. The kennels were very clean and the staff and supply area was very neat. While the dogs were very happy to see me, it was equally clear that they had enjoyed themselves there. They gave me pictures of them from Doggie Day Camp when I picked them up.

The bottom line on Goin' To Grandma's is simple. I have lived all over the country (and in Bermuda, too) and have had dogs virtually my entire life. Goin' To Grandma's ranks as one of the best dog-boarding facilities I have ever used. I consider the value I got for what they do to be exceptional. I doubt that you could find a better value in Cochise County, and probably Tucson as well. You can probably find a cheaper place in the Sierra Vista / Hereford / Palominas area, but you will not find a better one.

I won't even think of going anywhere else.

I've used this facility monthly for the past three years. My dog is blind and diabetic, and the groomers and other personnel are especially patient and kind to him. He has beem boarded there for 1-5 days, and they are very prudent about administering his medications. The dogs can attend "Camp Bow Wow" where they play and interact with other dogs staying there, so the dogs aren't confined to a kennel all day and have a chance to have fun. I've come to know the owners and they are always responsive and helpful. They also donate a great deal of time and money to local animal shelters and rescue groups. During the recent Monument Fire in our area, they boarded and cared for pets of evacuees free of charge. There is a great deal of heart behind this company.
