Water leak misdiagnosed. Was not my main water line but, in fact, turned out to be nearby irrigation line. However, technician had already cut & bypassed my main water line resulting in a service charge and 5 day temporary line installed before he realized error. Owner was not willing to compensate me anything but still billed me for service call & temporary line in which they solved nothing and caused unnecessary second problem (had to replace . After discussing with owner, he would not budge. So, I sent him a check for the full amount & called another plumber to fix the water line that GV Plumbing technician had cut unnecessarily. Also, had to call in landscaper to repair irrigation line. Totally unhappy with whole experience with GV Plumbing.

I woke up at 0430 to discover a severe water leak throughout my house. I called the Green Valley emergency number and talked to the on call plumber. This individual tried everything he could to get out of coming to my home. He even explained to me that he couldn't go up in my crawl space and look for the leak because he he was 250lbs. He finally reluctantly agreed to be at my house in an hour, but showed up 2 1/2 hours later. This was only 30 minutes prior to their office opening up. But still charged me their emergency call out rate of $110 per hour. When the plumber showed up he was the most unprofessional and inconsiderate person I ever encountered. He showed very little interest in finding the leak. Instead letting the Servpro technician take the lead and do all the work. My girlfriend and I were so disgusted with his actions that we asked him to leave before even finding the source of the leak. To the credit of the plumber he came back a short time later and apologized for his behavior and said he wanted to help. Once the source of the leak was discovered the plumber did show adequate knowledge in fixing the issue. He cut a small hole in the sheet rock in order to access the leaking hose. Do you think he cleaned up his mess, of course not. Instead, he told me that the servpro guy can do it. So, when it came time for the bill I asked the plumber to please explain in detail the cause of the leak because I was going to have to file a claim against a company that caused the leak. The plumber assured me that he was going to write up a detailed report. When I received the bill all it said was 2 hours work to fix a drain line. The complete opposite of what I asked for. I called their office and some receptionist assured me that she would send me a more detailed bill, I even spoke with the owner and explained to him my disappointment with the level of service I received. He assured me that he would talk with the plumber and send out a more detailed bill. To this day I haven't received the new bill. I lost all faith in this company.

The workman spent more time talking/complaining/"going for lunch/breaks/ or just disappearing and talking with anyone who passed. He rarely worked over two hours at one time. he was not able to complete the job. He took over three weeks eventually they contracted out the final digging to 18 inches to our landscape company who filled in the trench and restored pavers. Then we were billed an extra $225 for that plus $50 for jackhammer which was used one time - the workman said it was too rocky so he stopped!!
We have used this company in the past and found them acceptable but if they hire this type of employee and continue to bill for incompetence they should be avoided.

He was great. Showed up on time and was courteous. I had 2 outside faucets that wouldn't turn for some reason. 1 faucet he said didn't need to be replaced because there was a manual override (I would never have known that.) The other faucet was welded on and I had already disintegrated the handle by using pliers. My boyfriend (who couldn't be here) said to be sure he used a and quot;ball valve with a threaded connectionand quot; (or something like that) and the plumber seemed to know what I meant. Anyway, after less than an hour he was done and the new faucet handle turned effortlessly.

I was dreading this whole thing, but it turned out just fine.

Called them after I noticed a leak at the bypass valve. They arrived just a few hours later. Diagnosed the problem as leaking O rings. Cleaned and lubricated the bypass valve, reassembled and re-installed. They also soldered on additional copper pipe to reduce the strain on the bypass valve fittings.

They never fixed a toilet that leaked at the base. They kept blaming it on other things. They put the wrong seal on it and it kept flooding my bathroom. It flooded the bathroom three or four times. I had a handyman come out and they were able to put the right seal on right away. When my husband and I went to complain about the work he threw us out of his shop and threatened to have us arrested. They did not know how to fix the problem and they claim to be licensed.

Kevin was very professional and courteous. He finished the work with dispatch and cleaned up after himself. I really don't have any dos or don'ts to share. I was completely satisfied.

Installation was fine. About 6 months after the installation, we were gone for a period of time and had turned the control down to the and quot;vacationand quot; setting. When we returned, we turned the setting back to where it was previously (I had marked that setting on the control dial). Shortly, we noticed that the control was not keeping the water hot over night. I called Green Valley Plumbing (GVP)and explained the problem. I was told that they would send someone out. But, if the hot water heater needed to be replaced, I would be charged for labor; no charge for the hot water heater. Repair person came out and told me to record the water temperature, which I did for several weeks. We decided to live could with the problem and would not be using GVP for any further work. Several months later the wax seal under the guest bathroom toilet was leaking and had discolored the vinyl. I removed the toilet and replaced the wax seal with a thick seal. GVP had used thin wax seals when they installed the toilet, which was not adequate. I called GVP and gave the woman who answered a piece of my mind about the poor quality of their work that resulted in damaging the vinyl and also told them what I thought about charging for labor to replace a faulty hot water heater. About 15 minutes after I hung up the phone, the owner called. I repeated my problem with their quality of work etc. I was told that the hot water heater would have been replaced at no charge as long as it was within one year of installation. It had been less than one year when I initially called about the problem. I told him that is not what his receptionist told me, and that would not be doing any business with his company at all and would not be recommending GVP to anyone; that I would recommend a different plumber. He wanted to argue with me and I hung up. Since then, I have replaced the wax ring on a second toilet that showed evidence of leaking. The same conditions existed: thin wax ring that did not seal the space between the toilet and the drain! I have talked to others who have had similar experiences with GVP. I have also been told that they charges are excessive. No satisfaction other than telling the owner what I thought of his crappy work and failure to offer any compensation. I use a different plumbing company.

PS I have seen a sign at a house that states and quot;No GV Plumbingand quot; with a circle and a line through it!! Apparently another dissatisfied customer!

It went perfectly. They were generally competent. They are excellent and they did good work for us. They have a good reputation in the community and that is why we chose them in the first place. Their price was acceptable to us.

Terry from GV Plumbing arrived within the two-hour time span promised. He took a look at the problem and said, "Piece of cake!" About 24 minutes later he was done, and our laundry tub is now back in service. This would have taken us a lot of time, much searching for parts, and probably some swearing.

They were really good about telling me how to fix the problem if it were to happen again and I felt that showed me a lot of honesty on their part. They were able to make things very clear to me and I really liked that they have reasonable prices.

The man they sent appeared very young to me, but he was professional, courteous, and soon showed me he knew what he was doing. I was very pleased with the work performed, especially the price. He was neat, clean, and obviously concerned with doing a good job. He was careful not to scratch the sink or countertop, and cleaned to job-site very well. I'll do business with these folks again.
