Estimate was not free, charged me $70. Very bad at communicating. Did not call my tenant as promised. I had to call them multiple times to get my written estimate and to be able to pay the invoice. Quoted me almost $400 to repair a stove that isn't even worth $400 brand new.

The appliance repair man was fine and courteous. Vince, who answers the phone and schedules the appointments, is a rude and condescending person and should never be involved in customer service. I called the day after my repair appointment to follow up on obtaining parts. This man was impatient over the phone, interrupted me, put me on hold without indicating he was doing so, and when I said that I had planned to likely buy a new refrigerator, but hesitated because of his manner and other negative reviews, he responded by saying maybe I should go elsewhere. I then said "good idea -- I'll do that and also recommend that others do the same".

Needed three visits due to delayed parts availability (not A'l's Appliances fault); however, had to call the second and third times to verify parts were coming in, rather than getting a call from them. This also may have been the factory's fault.

Cost of repair and length of wait for parts/installation pretty much carried the decision.
I was aware of new Speed Queen machines existing on their floor and had exhaustively researched them and competitors 18 months earlier when I opted for repair instead of new purchase. Upon discussion of repair cost and wait for old machines, decided to replace. Installation of new machines accomplished within the hour. Excellent responsiveness. Even at that discount provided...which I didn't ask for. These are fine people.

The repairman was here at the schedued time and he was friendly and polite. He repaired the washer and it's been working fine ever since. When I need another appliance repair I certainly will not hesitate to use them again
