Mark is an independent contractor. The company I purchased the granite from recommended him. On the first day, he showed up 3 1/2 hours late. He arrived at 5:30 pm and worked until 10:30 pm. His next day of work, he canceled. He truly lacked quality work in every sense. There were 4 slabs of granite. Two pieces were to match up in color and the other two slabs were to go together. He did not match them correctly. Another problem was one of the ends of the counter is higher than the other. Also, one drawer would not open because of this reason. After telephoning him, he came back to examine the situation at hand. He simply stated a number of excuses rather than being willing to make it right. He was not apologetic at all. He simply had heard enough and walked out of the house. I would not hire him as he is dishonest, incapable and unprofessional. The cost was for labor only.
