They changed hands...not Maytag Store anymore...The warranty company that was supposed to be handled by Maytag has been sold, and they could care less. The conditions of the warranty state that the warranty DOES NOT cover electrical or mechanical problems ( I think that is the only kind of problems you can have). I am fed up with the Maytag Store and Maytag appliances. I will buy either LG (Korean) or Sanyo...but not Maytag or any of the affiliated brands. Again nothing has been done to resolve my problem.

We called the Maytag folks based on good reviews here, and had a very similar experience to several we saw described here. Working with the office staff was difficult, but we did finally get an appointment. Once the person we were dealing with was the repairman, the service was excellent. He contacted us as expected, arrived on time, and knew what he was doing. We will use them again if we have another appliance issue.

The repairman (Jim) was nice and knowledgeable, but I talked to three different Maytag employees the past week about this. If this is such a common problem (as it is according to Jim) I would think one of them would have suggested this and saved me a $69 service charge.

It went very well. Mobin contacted us the morning of the service day with an estimated arrival time, then called back to see if it was convenient for him to arrive about an hour early. He quickly identified the correct problem (clogged drain) and checked the ice maker for problems as we requested. We have had our ice maker serviced 3 times and assumed it was an ice maker problem (due to the frozen ice and icicles from top to bottom in the freezer). He assured us the ice maker was working properly/not leaking and that the icicles were probably the result of the freezer door being left open slightly. We appreciated the honest feedback.

I was very unhappy with the products I was sold and the installation. The dishwasher broke when I was using it for the very first time. It took them a week to come look at it. They wanted to replace the motor. I told them no I wanted a new one. They also did not adjust the wheels on the refrigerator. This was causing it to roll out of the cubby that it was placed in. The products were cheap; I received bad service in all areas. I wish I could have just ripped everything out and taken it all back.

The experience was excellent. Our refrigerator broke on Christmas Eve. When I called Maytag on at 8:30 a.m. on 12/26, the dispatcher put us into the schedule right away. The work was completed by 12:30 p.m. The technician who came to the house was polite, competent, and went beyond the call by taking out an ice maker that hasn't been working for quite a long time. We chose not to replace it. He fixed the problem defrost thermostat and cleaned up the area in which he had been working, a fact I much appreciated. I would definitely call The Maytag Store again. The dispatcher must have assigned someone closer to our house to this job, because although the phone number above is the same -- 602-252-6030, the address on the ticket is 300 W. Southern Avenue in Mesa.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE MAYTAG STORE REPAIR WAS A VERY PLEASANT ONE. THE REPAIR MAN WAS NICE & POLITE. HE TOLD ME THAT WHAT HE DID WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, IT WAS NORMAL WEAR & TEAR, & HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE WORK.

THEY WERE PROMPT; HOWEVER, THE REPAIRMAN TOLD ME THE BELT HAD BURNED UP BECAUSE THE DRYER WAS NOT PROPERLY VENTED. I POINTED OUT THAT HIS COMPANY HAD INSTALLED & VENTED THE DRYER. HE JUST SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS & WOULD NOT CONTACT HIS MANAGER TO DISCUSS.

THEY ARRIVED ON TIME. REMOVED OLD APPLIANCE AND HAULED IT AWAY. THEY WERE CAREFUL NOT TO NICK WALLS. ASKED IF I WANTED DOOR TO OPEN OPPOSITE WAY..SHOULD HAVE DONE IT BUT I DIDN'T. NOT THEIR FAULT, IT WAS MINE.

THE SALESMEN WERE SATISFACTORY. THE INSTALLER, HOWEVER, WASN'T VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DIDN'T SEEM TO REALLY KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE RESENTED OUR OFFER TO HELP WITH THE REMOVAL OF THE WALL OVEN. I QUESTIONED THE LACK OF TIGHTNESS OF THE OVEN DOOR AND WAS TOLD THAT WAS HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. TO THIS DAY, THE OVEN DOOR DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT IS CLOSED TIGHT ENOUGH AND AT TIMES, I HAVE TO PUSH ON THE DOOR TO GET THE OVEN LIGHT TO GO OFF.

THE REPAIRMAN WAS PROFESSIONAL AND DID A GOOD JOB. HE CLEANED UP THE MESS FROM THE WATER AND ICE. I'M DISAPPOINTED IN THE RELIABILITY OF THE APPLIANCE SINCE IT WAS PRACTICALLY NEW WHEN IT BROKE.

THE APPLIANCES WERE DELIVERED AND INSTALLED IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE OLD APPLIANCES WERE REMOVED AND HAULED OFF. I RECEIVED A DISCOUNT FOR BUYING ALL THE APPLIANCES AT THE SAME TIME.

THE SERVICE MAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN HIS FIELD. HE REPAIRED WHAT HE COULD TO SAVE ME THE COST OF REPLACING PARTS. HE GAVE ME QUITE A FEW TIPS ON GETTING THE DISHES CLEANER, NO MATTER WHAT THE STATE OF THE WASHER. HE ALSO NOTICED A GAS LEAK IN OUR BACK YARD AND SAVED US WHO KNOWS WHAT BECAUSE OF THAT! WE HAVE SINCE USED MAYTAG TO REPAIR OUR CLOTHES WASHER AND DRYER AS WELL.

MY MAYTAG DRYER STOPPED DRYING 2 MONTHS PAST THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY. THE SERVICE MANAGER FOR MAYTAG AGREED TO PAY OF THE LABOR CHARGE AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT I THOUGHT MAYTAG WASN'T SUPPOSE TO BREAK. THEY REIMBURSED ME JUST LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

WE PURCHASED WASHER AND DRYER LAST YEAR FOR $1,878.40. IT IS A FRONT LOAD LARGE CAPACITY. AFTER MY CALL, THEY SCHEDULED NEXT DAY SERVICE WITH ONLY A TWO HOUR TIME FRAME. MOST SERVICES SCHEDULE WITH A 5 HOUR WINDOW. EXCELLENT SERVICE!
