Paul with Bargain Busters was very kind, punctual, efficient, and fair in all ways! He gave me an excellent price on quality appliances that I could not have matched anywhere else. I barely had to lift a finger, and the work was done before I knew it.

Steve installed a new Range Hood for me in early June 2022, and while he was there, I asked him to take a peek at what was causing our 16-year old GE range's oven cooking problems (going on for past 2 years) and also our 11 year old Samsung Side-by-Side refrigerator was creating ice glaciers at bottom of its freezer. I was a bit stressed out over their issues and did not want to spend $2,500 - $3,000 to buy new appliances. I admitted to him that I tried to clean the refrigerator coils myself, back in December 2021, and had it unplugged for 2 hours. I plugged it back in and then a couple of weeks later I was chipping out ice forming on bottom of freezer. This went on for many months and was getting worse by the week. In May 2022, I brought in a Samsung appliance technician, who said that the 11-year old refrigerator was in great shape, including the compressor, but I had put it into defrost mode when I unplugged it for 2 hours. Turning it back on caused all that melting to re-freeze and was blocking the vents. Samsung technician told me to defrost it myself by leaving it unplugged for 2 days straight and then plug it back in. Samsung tech charged me $140 for the visit and their phone rep tried talked me into buying a new Samsung refrigerator. I will never call them again for help. Steve listened to my Samsung story and explained it would only take 2 hours to defrost my freezer, not 2 days. He also determined that my oven was not cooking correctly, because the thermostat sensor wire had burned out, and thus, it could no longer talk to my range's electronic board - it was an $80 part and an easy fix. I arranged an appt for Steve to come back a few day later. I had the freezer unloaded (and still plugged in - LOL). Steve removed all the shelving and took 4 screws out of the freezer’s inside back panel. He showed me all the ice that had re-frozen back in there, when I had accidently put it into defrost mode. The reformed ice was not allowing proper venting in the freezer. He quickly defrosted / melted it with a hand-held machine, and the melted ice ran into the catch pan underneath. He got all the moisture wiped out, put the panel back on, plus put in the freezer's shelves. He turned it back on, and (happy dance) several weeks later it is working like new and no more ice buildup on bottom of freezer. He also was correct in his assessment to what was wrong with our oven and he put in a new thermostat sensor and the oven is now cooking everything evenly and at the correct temperature. I don’t have to buy new appliances now. Steve is amazing and a professional appliance technician. He is knowledgeable regarding all the appliance brands and their possible issues. He seems to have a good network for getting needed parts quickly, despite recent supply shortages. I have been passing out his business cards to neighbors and friends.

I choose Bargain Busters, because they was confirmed by Angi over the other 2 companies provided by Home Advisors for metro-Phoenix / Glendale, AZ side of town. Steve is the company's appliance repairman and they also sell appliances by the way. The receptionist was able to fit me in the following morning with Steve. When Steve arrived, I also pointed out to him that a former remodel contractor, who did our kitchen in 2016, apparently did poor quality work on the duct work and electrical outlet in the cabinet above. For some reason, we did not realize it at the time. Steve does not do the duct work for installing a range hood, but he did have a duct work / electrical contractor contact that he used sometimes. He gave him a call to find out when he was available, which was later in the afternoon. He asked politely if he could come back later in the afternoon with the duct work contractor. I work from home and said Yes. Steve came back later with Robert, who tsked, tsked over my duct work. He did his best to fix it and rewrapped it in that sticky 3M foil tape. Robert then assisted Steve with the new Range Hood installation, which did take both of them to install and line it up into the opening for the duct work above. Steve did not mind that I watched the whole process and explained why he had to use longer screws than what came with the range hood kit - every kitchen's cabinets are different, so he had able to compensate for our cabinet style and wood thickness. The cost came to $150, instead of $60, but it was worth the added cost of bringing in his duct work contractor, and I can safely use my new range hood going forward. Steve went above and beyond for a normal appliance repair / installation.

BB is very responsive. Office staff contacted me right away and quickly returned phone calls. The part needed to be ordered and we set a repair date for after the Memorial Day weekend. But, when the part came in, they gave me the option to have the repair done early Friday evening before the 3-day weekend. I quickly accepted so that I could enjoy the long weekend without having to babysit the refrigerator. Kudos for great customer service and a workmanlike repair!

A front-loading washing machine had given my wife and me zero problems during the 10 years we’ve owned it. Then, the day before we were leaving town for the weekend, the machine refused to drain. And we had dirty clothes we wanted to wash and take with us. I called Bargain Busters Appliance Service on a Friday morning and they arrived on Friday afternoon to save the day. They appeared at the front door when they said they’d be there, diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes, had the part they needed in the truck, and were on their way in less than half an hour. Steven was professional, efficient, super friendly, and courteous. Also, in terms of the bottom line, the price was more than fair.
