Marcela was easy to work with at first. She estimated that it would take 2 weeks from start to finish.It took FIVE months. The courtyard pavers and driveway extension went in fairly quickly but the time spent on the job was sporadic. Throughout the project her crew would show up one day and then not come back for up to a week.Communication was a major problem. I seldom got answers to phone calls or e-mails. She claimed she was having problems getting the stone facing .However other landscapers doing similar work in the neighborhood didn't seem to have a problem.

To make the drivewasy extensions it was necessary to remove some of the crushed granite. They just piled it up in the yard the length of the drive way on both sides. Marcela said they would get rid of piles and retstore the landscaping but it didn't happen.

The grout work on the stone walls is not good. It looks as if the mortar had too much sand in it and is crumbly. The grout was not applied with a mortar bag. It was stuffed in by hand and smoothed out with a stick! It is not attractive.

Landscape job went without problem. One month after installation I noticed a small irrigation leak ANd we had a dead plant. I called Marcella who promised she would come that week. Despite a number of phone calls and text messages, she never returned. I was so disappointed in her....I would have given her a good review if she would have fixed these minor issues.
There was a similar reviewer that had the same problem. Before we signed the contract, I asked her about this review. She said the lady was and quot;crazyand quot; and I am sure she will say the same about me. I just asked her to complete the job and she refused.
Not a way to run a company.

The work (landscaping, lights, irrigation) was completed on time and on budget. Marcela has gone back to our house to check on the job since installation. We were happy with the work and would use them for further jobs.

Quick estimate but rain delayed work. was performed when dry and was a great job. Also very nice and communicative people to deal with..

Marcela was very good to work with at the beginning of the project. She was very flexible, and Senor Saguaro's landscaping design was more appealing than those of two other estimates that we solicited. She was very reliable regarding when she would come by the house with updates, when she would have estimates, and when she would take me to the nursery to select plants. I believe that this is the phase where Marcela provides the most attentive and reliable customer service.
After this phase, she was a little less reliable regarding timing. She would come to the house when she needed the next installation of payment for the project, but was otherwise very difficult to reach, and not nearly as responsive to phone calls as in the planning phase of this project.
When the installation was completed, we received many compliments on their landscaping - the design and installation was really very nice - and she mentioned that they received many inquiries for landscaping from people who had seen our front yard.
Several of the plants in our back yard died after the installation was completed, and after we had paid the final installment to Senor Saguaro, but before their warranty on their plants had expired. At this point, it was absolutely impossible to reach them - I left many voicemail messages for Marcela, and none were returned. We wondered if they had gone out of business. We actually contacted Angie's List, but because we did not have a street address for Senor Saguaro, Angie's List couldn't send them a letter on our behalf. After several months of unreturned calls, and attempts to find Senor Saguaro's street address, the dead plants were replaced one afternoon.
We continue to be pleased with the landscaping design, but because of reliability issues, we would not be able to recommend Senor Saguaro in the future.

Work was started on time and completed within the estimated time range. Senor Saguaro provided the most cost effective bid from a field of five estimates from various contractors. Much of the design was left up to Senor Saguaro and we were very pleased with their ideas. The employees were polite and very hard working. Most of the work was done meticulously and artistically.

We did have a few problems. Some of the facing stone on the pergola pillars did not adhere well and the watering system could have been better designed (more zones for more precise watering control). We also received no instruction or written material about how to operate the drip system controller. I ended up getting a copy of the instructions from the manufacturer's web site.

Overall, we were very pleased with the design and work that Senor Saguaro did for us. We have tried contacting the company to get an estimate on building a small storage shed for us, but they don't seem interested in doing a small job... we haven't been able to get them to return the call. However, we do highly recommend this company for landscaping. They did a great job and most everything has held up well over the last year. They were very responsive during the month that they were completing the project.
