ORECK FLOOR CARE CENTER

I called the Oreck dealer in Goodyear because they indicated that they perform maintenance on many types of vacuums. Dyson was specified. That dealer indicated that they were preparing to move so they weren't taking any new maintenance items. They referred me to the store on Bell Road and 67th Avenue. I brought my vacuum to the store and presented it to two employees. I explained that the vacuum would run with the switch pressed but the switch would not latch so the vacuum would stop as soon as I released the switch. The person who indicated that he would be performing the actual maintenance was not very reassuring at all. We discussed the problem for a few minutes and I even told him that if he didn't think he could fix the problem that I would take the vacuum somewhere else. He indicated to me that he wasn't permitted to order all Dyson parts, only some of them. The switch could be ordered but the housing could be bad too and he couldn't order the housing. I found it very odd that a company that advertises the ability to repair vacuums could not order parts. Further, although I completely understand that if he was, indeed, not permitted to order all parts, he could not guarantee a repair but I might recommend that it might be better to state that up front. It wasn't until nearly the end of our conversation that this was made clear. Although the vacuum was repaired in a timely manner and is now in working order, the maintenance person's manner was not very reassuring at all. Although I don't honestly believe this, my wife and I both commented that it seemed that he just didn't want our business.

THEY TOOK CARE OF THE VACUUM WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME PROMISED AND ALSO CALLED TO SAY IT WAS READY AS PROMISED. NO ISSUES. STAFF APPROACH WAS THAT OF GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS,THOUGH.PROBABLY THE BEST THING I COULD SAY IS THAT THEY DIDN'T ''PUSH'' THEIR PRODUCTS AT ME LIKE SOME ORECK DEALERS DO.

I LOVE MY NEW VACUUM CLEANER. IT IS SO LIGHT AND EASY TO USE, BUT POWERFUL.
