Olympic Lawn & Landscape LLC

We had a remodel of our landscaping in the front and backyard. The whole crew from Olympic and the foreman Darryl, did an excellent job in providing the services which we requested. A couple of our new neighbors are also using Olympic Lawn and Landscaping to complete their needs.

This is a very busy landscape company.  At first, the owner said he couldn't fit us it, but he finally did.  Very hard to reach; can call or email, and the owner may or may not directly respond.  A few times he responded by actually doing what we asked for in an email or a voice message.  Rarely got anything done when he said he would, but it did get done.  You must have patience.  For example, the rock was supposed to be delivered on a Thursday, but it was brought about 2 weeks later.  So, punctuality and responsiveness are a concern.  But landscaping seems to be a booming business where we live, and it's hard to find someone who isn't really busy.  We are very new to Arizona, and wanted to get our landscape renovated quickly.  Now that it is finished, we have time to learn about southwest gardening, and from now on we will do all our own work.  And that is the primary reason we would not use Olympic (or any other landscape company) in the future.  We are gardening hobbyists, and we will soon know as much about gardening in the southwest as any landscaper in the area!

Pretty well.  Couple of plants died, some settling occurred.  It took them a long time to come out and fix.  Actually, I asked if they'd be interested in another job at our rental property and that's when they did the fix at our house.  Overall ok, but not spectacular.

Pretty good. The crew accomplished their work in two days and the yard looked very professional. However, there were a couple of loose ends from this project (new fittings for the irrigation system, a plant for the front yard that was promised) as well as a minor issue from a previous project at a different location that I had to make several calls to the owner to get corrected. Both were eventually resolved to my satisfaction.

We had used Olympic Lawn & Landscape to renovate our back yard back in 2003, so we contacted them again when we moved into a foreclosed home with a huge back yard devoid of landscaping and an uninspired basic front yard landscape package. Darryl Meltzer (company president) came out personally and spent about an hour listening to our desires and making suggestions on how best to create our backyard oasis and re-energize our front yard. His bid was about $1,500 below another company and nearly $8,000 below a well reviewed Angie's List company. We decided to go with Olympic and were extremely pleased with the work, the punctuality, the attention to detail, and their concern with customer service. Small things like cleaning up the work site every day after they finished, placing warning cones in the street for the piles of landscaping rock, and showing up on the weekend to water the plants when we hit a snafu with the existing irrigation control showed that this company really cares about its customers. Darryl's crew was professional, courteous, and his team lead, Octavio kept the project on track and demanded the highest level of quality. Cost was a significant factor in our decision to go with Olympic, but I felt Olympic managed to provide a superior product for significantly less than other companies would have charged. The pictures speak for themselves--Darryl's team transformed our "blank canvas" backyard into an inviting retreat and gave our front yard significant curb appeal. Olympic isn't a large company, but their focus on service and detail should help them grow into one.
