When I first went in and talked about what I wanted everything was fine. It was when I got my first tattoo when things started to change. I wanted a pair of praying hands on my back (Albert) the tattoo artist can’t spell the simple word (grateful) he spelled it wrong. I didn’t realize it until he was done. The second time I went in I asked for a religious sleeve on my right arm. I was expecting a hand drawn stencil not something that you would copy out of a magazine!!... in total I spent $1,200 for ****** tattoos. Now I’m spending an additional $2,200 to have them redone!! Stay the **** away from this place . I’m not going to stop leaving reviews everywhere I can until these people are out of business.. my 13 year old daughter could have done a better job tattooing

Not well. The art was great. Artist overworked the skin causing major issues and the cost went way over the quote. Worse, the artist left before it was done and no offer to make the situation right. My incomplete tattoo and I are searching for a new artist. Wish there were more reviews.

The whole process was excellent. I first called for a consultation and was told that choosing a specific artist from the Karma Tattoo website was my first step. I reviewed all the artist portfolios on-line and it was crystal-clear that I wanted the work done by Kirk Tapley. I called back and made a date for my consultation, and at the consultation, Kirk was friendly, cheerful, respectful, and professional. He understood what I wanted and was very careful to explain that my chosen location--behind one ear--would be very high-maintenance during aftercare; he also explained exactly what aftercare would be required. I made my appointment, and on the day of my tattoo, I was completely delighted with the results. Kirk executed the sketch of my desired design beautifully and transferred it to my skin with precision and artistry. He reviewed aftercare with me one more time, and we made an appointment three and a half weeks from that date for any needed touch-up and to monitor healing. I will post a picture in a couple of months when the work is totally healed, but even at this moment, I'm so pleased I selected Karma Tattoo and Kirk Tapley for my first tattoo.

I am a complete newbie to tattoos, just got my first one here yesterday. It could not have been a more positive experience from start to finish! Kirk is just the best! He made me feel at ease, he interpreted and executed exactly what I wanted (way beyond my expectations, in fact), and the result is beautiful. Had been thinking about this for a very long time, decided the time was right, did a lot of research, and tried one other highly rated shop first. Never got as far as the tattoo, thank goodness, because the situation was not a happy one. So I researched some more, and when I first dropped into Karma, I instantly felt comfortable (perhaps not so easy for a mid-60s grandmother of five in a tattoo shop!) When I returned for my appointment with Kirk, I had a sketch of what I had in mind, done by my 13-year-old granddaughter, and he took it and just upped it to a higher level that still matched the spirit of what she had created. I felt a little self-conscious about even the idea of a tattoo, partly because what I wanted was small, simple, and nothing an artist could add proudly to a portfolio or make a lot of money from. However, Kirk made me feel as if my artwork were just as important as anyone else's, and put tremendous care and time and artistry into the execution. He was also very careful to ensure that I knew how to take care of the work so that it would continue to be just as vibrant when it heals. The price was also surprisingly reasonable, given the amount of time and attention I received. Could not recommend this clean, professional, attractive shop more highly, and Kirk is a true artist.

The people who work at Karma are friendly and customer oriented. I was skeptical when first going there based on the experiences I've had with and quot;rock starand quot; tattoo people , but a few minutes of talking with them started me thinking they were different. After several hours of tattooing, I feel very at home there. The tattoo artists at Karma are world class, going elsewhere won't get you a better tattoo. They are down to earth people who will listen to what you want and turn it into art on your skin.
