Hardware & Home Improvement Stores
They are generally good with prices and selection. Sometimes their organization is a little off. They need to clean up their shelves, so the prices are marked correctly. Overall, it is where I prefer to go since it is close than Lowes.

Carpet Installation
Very polite, took a lot longer than we thought it would - into the evening hours. 11am-7pm. I had to ask for the extra pieces of carpet to be left or they would have taken them. Overall, satisfied. |

Carpet Installation
The sale of the carpet went a little rough. But after the manager of the department took over, everything ran very smoothly. US Installation Group was fabulous to work with. They called to schedule the installation and told me they could request(not guarantee) a certain time range (morning or afternoon). The installers were courteous, professional and introduced themselves as they entered.

I tried to order a door from them and the salesperson was very nice. I didn't pay for this at the time as they said I would pay once the door came in. They said I could pay over the phone. The doors were 15% off. When I tried to pay they would not give me the 15%off. I taked to customer service, they put me over to the door dept. They would not give me the 15%. They said I need to talk to a manager. Taled to jer and she said the 15% was taked off the original purchase. This showed nowhere on my contract. She sent me over to her supervisor and he said the same. At that time I gave up and I went to Lowes. They were professional and very easy to work with. I ordered my door and they said it would take about 2 weeks. They were right, the door was here in 2 weeks. I was very impressed with knowledge and how easy the transaction was, I will go to lowes for anything I need.

The address of the Home Depot I used is not correct on this review, I could not find a way to put in the correct address.
The Home Depot I used is in Mesa, not in Glendale.
I want to say the actual installation company I would give an A/B rating.
The Home Depot flooring department is where my frustration was.
I had (Home Depot) tile left over from tiling another house, and wanted to use it to tile one or two rooms in my condo, depending on how much tile would be needed. I told this to everyone I spoke to, from the first call to Home Depot, to scheduling the appointment to have my condo measured. Since there is a charge to measure, I had them measure my entire Condo, at the suggestion to the person I initially spoke to when I first called Home Depot, it was suggested I'd have all my rooms measured at once, so not to have to pay to have them come out and measure any additional times, since I would only be tiling one room at a time.
I should have known by the first encounter with the tile department at my local Home Depot that this transaction would not go smoothly.
There was a young gal, who was very inexperienced with their scheduling system. She finally got one of the more senior members of the tile department to work up my order.
I ran into multiple issues with home depot, because I already had tile, and wasn't going to tile my entire house on the same day.
I was told multiple times that they couldn't do the work unless I bought new tile from them.
This was the one of the reason I went with Home Depot, since the tile was purchased from them originally.
I was even told I needed to bring in my tile becasue the die lots would differ - over 1200 pounds of tile.
It seemed that they were looking for any loop hole to not schedule the tile install, after I had paid for the tile to be installed.
I was very frusterated with the girl that was working in the tile department, it seemed like she was very new to the department, and since what I wanted wasn't the typical install, including the purchase and delivery charges, it couldn't be done.
After several weeks and many phone calls and visits to the store I finally got the tile install scheduled.
The installer company's office person started asking the same thing about if I didn't buy the tile from Home Depot they couldn't do the job. (after I had already paid for the install).
The tile installer did a great job with the tile. I'm very picky about the grout lines, he did a great job with lining up the tiles.
There were only two things that keeps the tile install from getting an A+ rating from me.
There is one row of tiles that is a partial width, I expected that row would be up against the back wall, but it is the first row of tile when you walk into the room, the other thing is I had a LOT of partial tiles from that previous job, that were stacked by size, I asked if he would use that tile where he could to save the full size tiles, so I would have more tile for the Living room. He did not use any of the previously cut tiles, and used two additional boxes of tiles over what was estimated to tile the smallest of my rooms. In my mind that was a huge waste of tiles.
So I now have even more cut pieces, and not enough tile to finish the Living room without purchasing additional tile.

Appliance Sale
Three years ago we bought a new wall oven to replace our existing oven. We were shopping in the Home Depot and the salesman showed us the ovens and when we picked one we liked, he told us not to buy it yet. It was going to be on sale the following week! He saved us $200 on the price of the oven. He then pointed out that if we applied for a Home Depot credit card it would give us an additional 10% off. It included a free extended warranty, as well, and free disposal of the old oven.
We chose to install it ourselves, and Home Depot gave us explicit installation instructions. The installation went smoothly, and we were very happy with the new appliance.
We recently had to have it serviced and the Home Depot warranty people were great. They came out examined the oven and said the control panel had to be replaced. They had found some problems with the old one and had designed a whole new panel for it. He had to order the panel and came back a week later and installed it. He took quite some time to explain the new functions that the new panel had and how to use it. It had a lot of new features the old one didn't. It was like getting a whole new oven. There was no charge for the repair.

Carpet Installation, Flooring
We purchased carpet and Pergo laminate for our new home from Home Depot. The sales people were all very helpful and knowledgeable. The measuring service who came out to give the estimate for the flooring materials and installation were very prompt, professional, thorough and quick. We received the quote for the flooring the day after the technician was out to measure and were able to purchase the flooring at the time of the quote. The quote received was very reasonable and including installation was considerably lower than the other flooring quotes we obtained.
Installation of both flooring materials was done by Western States Flooring who are sub contracted by Home Depot for their installation. The carpeting and lamintate each took about a week to arrive from the date of order and the once the laminate had acclimated in the house for 3 days installation took place the following day. The carpeting took longer to arrive than we had hoped and after arrival we couldn't book installation any sooner than a week and a half later due to thei full schedule of the carpet installers. As we were in a hurry to move in this was a little frustrating.
Installation of the laminate flooring took 2 days and was quite well done. The only issue I had with it was the finish on the ends of the quarter round used at the transitions was a bit abrupt and unsightly in my opinion. On telling the service manager at Western States Flooring of this he came to the house to look and it and arranged for the installers to come back out and put caps on the ends of the quarter rounds at exposed finish points. This was done well and professionally, however I feel this should have been done as a matter of course at any point the quarter round finished at an exposed end. This however is an issue with the installation company Home Depot used and not so much with Home Depot.
The carpet purchased was of very good quality and the installation, by the same company as the laminate flooring, was done very quickly and professionaly by a very curtious group of installers. All in all, I would not hesitate to use Home Depot for any flooring in the future, and in fact, after this esperience we are considering using them to replace some windows and resurface kitchen cabinates.

Everything was fine but we didn't use them because another big box store had a better product and better price. It was a good experience; we just didn't select them because we liked the price and product of the other store better. They were very professional, nice and courteous. They did a great job on the quote.

Carpet Installation
No problems with HD at all. Contracters take a long time to get the job completed. We have done everything from remodeling to carpeting inside/ouside carpet. It took almost a month for carpet installation on a rental unit, we lost revenue because of their vendor but we stick with Home Depot all the way. If the vendors are not up to par ou can let management at HD know and they will handle things. We love HD and will continue with them for our needs.

They contracted through another contractor. I used some points that I had on my credit card and that's why I bought from them. They had good turn around and by the time we actually picked up the carpets they had them come out. They had good customer service and they helped us with the questions that we had.

Door Service
Delivering the door, the driver told me the door had a gouge in the screen. They installed the door and screen. That was very professioinal. Three weeks later, the replacement screen arrived. John arrived half an hour early and called me from his truck to wake me up. I opened the door so he could get in. He didn't. He sat outside for 20 min talking on his cellphone in the truck. Gee, if you are going to wake me up early, at least start work early too.

I spent around $3000 but I am not sure on the exact amount. They did a good job. They installed the carpet in under a day, but it took time before that to select the carpet. They were nearby and they had enough selection. Their price was near to the best. It looked like a good enough way to go. There was nothing in particular that stood out to me. They were a reliable company to deal with. It would be hard to talk about their price as I only know as to what they did it for and one or two others that might have done it for.

Carpet Installation
Their service was very good and the quality was just what we anticipated. They had another contractor lay the carpet. We were very satisfied with both aspects of that. Their price was broken up differently than other carpet stores and it was harder to compare. It was not as inclusive of all the pieces that it would cost. Their follow up was good at the end. Their punctuality was excellent and it was a good experience.

We have had some problems with them on other projects but this particular job they did fine. They were on time and professional. The quality of the work and carpet were fantastic. I pleased. They were easy to work with.
