DEER VALLEY AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING

There were two pre-installation visits to measure and document the old installation.  A price before rebates was quoted that was below several other bids by $2,000 to $4,000. Two technicians arrived at 8:00 AM on 9/7 and they completed the installation in approximately eight hours.   The job required distribution and return duct re-routing and some support fabrication which was done in an excellent manner.  A quality control person came out on   9/12/2011 and did a performance test on the system and adjusted the coolant level.  A very pain free installation.  I plan to use this company for another heat pump  replacement in a similar location of the other side of the house (the house has three heat pumps).

As well as I can determine the equipment was properly installed and is performing satisfactorily. I have one major complaint. When the work was completed, the final check of the system consisted of turning on the thermostat to see if the system would start. This took about one minute. When the saleman was called the next day to request a more thorough test he agreed to send someone out. The young employee who came was very competent and spent about two hours checking and testing the system. Most of his time was spent adding freon. It took about two pounds. He said that had I tried to run the air conditioner the system would have frozen up! (The installation was done on April 2 and it was still too cool for us to have used the system.) Minor complaints: some litter left behind and I had to properly repair the scuttle myself. They did a very good job of duct cleaning. It has taken over three months to get good confirmation of our warranty but I believe this to be the fault of the mfg.
