C & H REFRIGERATION

Was told that my compressor was bad. Unfortunately I was 6 mo's past my 5 year warranty. I was quoted $1800 for a new compressor or offered an alternative on a quieter, more efficient York that also carried a 10 year compressor warranty. As I hated the loud racket my unit made that came with the house I decided that would was the right way to go. Dan with C&H was very prompt, courteous and professional and got the job done that day and we were in heaven. This is where the fun started. The following winter season all of a sudden the heat quit working. I called C & H and they came out and evidently released some of the freon and the heat started working. Warranty and no charge. Great. Well then the following summer the a/c quit again. Called out C&H and this time Dans son came out. He thought I had a freon leak but never found it. Recharged and all was well. The the winter hit.....What we ended up finding out was the unit they installed was oversized for my air handler. Dan told me he would install a new air handler at cost for $1800. By this time I was not happy. As I told Dan If I would have known such a thing I never would have went the direction I did. I started pursuing the Az Registrar of Contractors for resolution. Ultimately to Dan's credit (and his dismay I'm sure) he rectified the problem at no charge to me. It took a lot of heartache and time. I am still a bit leery of my system but everything has worked well since and I've even noticed my APS bill has dropped this past year.

They are honest. They usually call within the hour of my calling. I will continue to use them.
