Our pool had gone green and I called on a Thursday looking for a maintenance company to come in on a regular basis to take over the basic care of our pool because I'm expecting a baby and didn't want to have contact with the chemicals or the hassle of cleaning out the baskets. The tech came out right away on Saturday as promised and the initial contact and information on their website seemed really good. Their maintenance prices seemed reasonable. The pool guy said the clorine wasn't registering so that's why it was probably green and dumped a lot of shock and liquid chlorine in and also spilled most of my clarifier directly into the pool instead of mixing it with water first and said I could talk with the office on Monday about costs and services etc. The pool stayed green - felt toxic to swim in it now - but it was still green. A representative called on Monday or Tuesday and started telling me that unless I was netting the pool all the time and scrubbing down the sides it wasn't going to get any better, plus my dogs were causing the problem. I said that seemed to be ridiculous to me I'd been taking care of the pool for several years now and didn't have these problems before, after a bit she put the owner on the phone who told me that my dogs were sucking up all the chlorine and that's why it was still green. She suggested I put up a pool fence and get a kiddie pool for the dogs (2 English Mastiffs - 170lbs each) - something that was totally stupid to me. The dogs have been swimming in there for 2 years without that being the issue. She also said my filter probably was filled with dog hairs and that could be the problem and that I should be running the cleaner every second I'm running the pool filter. Again when I questioned this ridiculous nonsense, there seemed to be more excuses including stuff falling from the palm trees and everything else. She said she'd talk to the tech and get back to me. When she called back a short while later, told me that my situation was too complicated for them and to call another company. The good news, they didn't charge for the visit and the chemicals they used so they get good points for that - I guess though with these guys the only way you'll have a bright and clear pool is if nobody swims in it. The next day we took a water sample to Leslie pool store on 7th av and bell - the girl there said our Chlorine was off the charts but the PH was low so it wasn't working and also that it was likely we had some algae problems. She sold us 5lbs of Soda Ash and a bottle of Black Algae killer with instructions on how to use both. In less than 24 hours our pool was completely clear and sparkling - it's been almost 2 weeks now and there must be a miracle because my chlorine sucking dogs haven't caused any problem... Pretty disappointed in this company - they don't seem to know what they are doing, but at least they are responsive and made good on not charging for not fixing the problem.

Numerous occasions have been verified with photos just prior to the service date and directly after in which the skimmer had significant debris in it, leaves and dirt were clearly visible on the bottom of the pool and upon backflushing, copious amounts of debris and dirt were expelled. The tags left to verify service were not left or weeks were skipped. When the owner was called on this and informed of the findings, she said in so many words that she checked with the serviceman (who apparently indicated he had performed the service) and she tends to believe him. When we checked the pool on 7/6/11, the 6/28/11 tag was still in the skimmer indicating the service had not been performed. We have not used them for repairs so cannot comment regarding them.

Update-Owner returned additional call made to him regarding the above. Discussed matter and corrective action. We appreciated his call and will review service for additional month at which time, if deemed satisfactory, will ammend report to reflect improvement.

We had recently purchase a house in Glendale and needed an assessment of the swimming pool. Bright and Clear arrived at the house on time and performed a thorough inspection, pointing out minor items that needed repair and testing the water for mineral contnet. They provided three options for weekly service as desribed on their web site. We picked the middle option and their service has been excellent. Highly recommended!

They did a great job. They explained things and fixed everything. Their price is the cheapest. Their quality is good. They know what they do. They come as quickly as possible. They came when they said they would be here. Some people who come don’t communicate very well. They were quick to figure out what the problem was. They answered all my questions. I would use them in the future.

It's really good. They came out with a free estimate to look at our pool and see what kind of service they would recommend. They also did a lot of teaching and explaining how the chemicals worked and answered any questions we had. They were really knowledgeable so we signed up with them for the weekly pool service. We decided to go with them because they had lots of options that worked well with our budget and for what we needed them for.

We bought a 4 closure home so the pool was green in color. They were very responsive. The representative came out the very next day after I had called them. He came out two or more times in an interval of 3 or 4 days to check and test the chemicals. He was nice and friendly. The price was fair.

They drained the green pool and performed a chlorine wash. They serviced the DE filter and replace a cracked header manifold and one filter panel. They also found and repair two leaks in the system. I also have them doing the weekly full-service pool maintenance. Larry, is there every week on the same day and time and does a through job. He also leave a note each week about what he has done and points out any equipment that might need attention.

They did a good job and they were really helpful as well. They provided me with great feedback and showed me how to take care of things on my own. I am very impressed with them and I would recommend them to anyone. They are a great company to work with.
