On the the day of service Fran called saying the tech would be late an hour due to emergency. Juan did get to my home just at the end of the original time frame. He came in the house to check the returns for leaks before going on the roof. Checked both units and found no problems. This is my first time using this company what a pleasant surprise to find an honest company not trying to up sell products and services.Their service and communication separates them from the larger companies.

They listened to what I said were known issues and addressed those unique issues that had to do with the age and structure of my house, unlike some other companies that just came in and gave me a price for replacing the unit. I have a 1971 house with no attic space and inadequate vents to sufficiently cool the living room (which has vaulted ceilings). The back of the house has lower flat ceilings, so I was dealing with temperature difference between front and back of the house, and because of no attic space, I was also not able to have additional vents installed to increase the air to the front of the house. They did a great job, and, as this is a smaller company, I received a lot of personal attention and at about half the price as some of the other large companies. I recommend Boldt very highly.

With regards to the serviceman from BOLDT I was quite pleased with his honesty and efficiency. It is too bad that the Home Warranty company is not using BOLDT's services as they are more efficient and professional the the the representative they sent out.

"After review of our invoice, it is noted that this customer was and is in need of major duct work repairs. We charged our normal nominal service charge for this inspection which entailed going into their attic during the summer at temps of close to 160*, but this is part of our job and we do so to ensure full inspection of duct work. We hope you have been able to make the required updates to ensure your system turns efficiently. Phillip Boldt"

He diagnosed all the problems I had and gave me a fair estimate. He went the extra mile and allowed me to ask a lot of questions. I have a background in maintenance so I’m not completely ignorant about a lot of things. He was willing to go the extra mile to explain in great detail what he was going to do and what he had done. He helped out with a few extra things besides what I first asked him for. I feel that the price I paid was very fair for all the work he did.
