I’ve been in the electrical business for forever, well minus 15 years… and I know every single thing a person could possibly know about electricity. I know everything about proper installation… and what things can go wrong in an installation. I know what to look for when there are safety concerns. When you have been in the field as long as I have you develop a certain intuition. I only hire electricians that can boast 10 years or more in the field. Then I make them work with me for a day to make sure their work reflects an electrician that has been in the field for 10 years. This may seem a little tough, but since electrical distribution and lighting equipment is the fourth leading cause of home fires, I want to make sure the occupants of any property my company enters is not put at risk by an incompetent electrician. He came as scheduled & did an estimate. Then came back the next day to do the work. He did not clean up the little things. He could not take a card for payment & did not mention that the day before when he did the estimate.

The company responded quickly and gave me a bid which I accepted on the spot. They were on time and inline with their estimated cost. I would definitely use them again and have given their contact information to a co-worker.

Alex was punctual and professional. He identified faulty wiring in a hanging light fixture and recommended a place to have it fixed. The former electrician who installed it did not bring this to my attention. I will be hiring AL-CO electric in the future for all my electrical projects!

I had been told by Sears installers that they would be unable to install the oven due to the current electric setup not being "up to code. I was told I would need to have rewiring done. Alex from AL-CO inspected the setup and reported that all was fine. The job required two house-calls because alterations to the oven space were needed before installation could be done. Alex was able to come by within 2 hours of both calls! In addition to his quick quality work and knowledge, he was very kind and eager to help! I am happy to have found an electrician for future jobs!

I hired Alex because he boasts that "I’ve been in the electrical business for forever, well minus 15 years… and I know every single thing a person could possibly know about electricity. I know everything about proper installation… and what things can go wrong in an installation." We had him install a fan...he did. It cost us $150 Turns out the fan needed a down rod because it is too close to the ceiling; he should have known this with all of his experience. The fan won't move any air. This, to me, is an improper install. When I called him to ask about it...he said I don't give advice...I just install what people give me. Also, that it would be an extra $150 to have it fixed properly. Thank you Alex for all of your wonderful experience put to work on this job.

Alex was incredibly responsive and should be the standard. I placed my request on Saturday night, he called me Sunday morning. He said he would be there at 7AM on Monday. He didn't say, between 7AM and who-knows-when. He said "7AM." He texted me about 30 minutes before his arrival and he arrived on time. He inspected my electrical work and calmed my concern. I wish the price for such an inspection was less expensive given the work in proportion to the time involved. However, in general, I am willing to pay a premium if someone is responsive, punctual, and shows up when s/he says s/he will.

The outdoor outlet was perfect. The wire was buried and the ground was properly restored. Inside there was a problem with one of the switches which kept short circuiting. Al-Co returned to fix the problem, but luckily my husband was able to pull the wires out of the wall and disable the switch, or we would've been without a lot of lights and an alarm system for several days.

Very nice work. Put the conduit on the side of the house instead of underground so it won’t corrode again like the original wiring. Made it blend in with the house as much as possible. Was able to do it in one day.

Alex is not the most detail oriented guy. I had to move 7 of 13 outlets and switches in one room because the height was not uniform, they were all off by 1/4" to 1.5". Same thing with some of the lighting buckets, 3 of the 8 were misaligned by as much as 4 inches. Last straw was being told a bill to install a 220 outlet 12ft from the panel would cost about $400-500. I was then handed a bill for $720. That is unacceptable.

I think the guy’s name is Alex something. I have only used them once. I think he did a good job, but he was kind of expensive. He found the issue and took care of it, and that was fine. It just seemed like it was a little pricey to me. He was responsive and stuff. I got 10% off because of Angie’s List, but it was $150 and he was there for maybe 40 minutes. I guess, I would use them again if I needed somebody to be punctual and do all of that. I guess you pay a little extra for that.

He was a little early because there wasn't much traffic, which was great as I'm an early riser. Everything was completed quickly, efficiently, it looks great and works fine. The owner was prompt and made sure everything was clean and neat when he left. I will call here first for any electrical needs I may have in the future.

Excellent service and timely response. They responded to my initial call and came to the house within 4 hours to diagnosis the issue. They were able to replace a burned out circuit breaker and answered numerous questions. They checked and cleaned all the other circuits. Very professional. Would definitely recommend.

Alex was quick to inspect and give a bid. He was right on time for the appointment and did quality electrical work. His price was very fair when I compared to other estimates. All in all, a pleasant experience. He remounted the panel so it was rock solid against the house. Both my brother and father are electricians in another state and I've seen (and heard about) my share of electrical jobs. I felt confident that Alex knew his work and the current code and would recommend him highly to all.

Excellent service. I called and left a message outlining what I needed. Alex called back the same afternoon and gave me an estimate of $200-$300 and we set a date and time convenient to my schedule.
Alex and his electrician arrived right on time and got right to work. The total job took about 90 minutes and they took time to make sure we were happy with how things looked, and cleaned up before leaving.
Actual charge was $250, below the maximum estimate, and I was very happy with the value.
