He did it for $185, which is a great deal. Retail is more like $300. He was very responsive and did the job as agreed. I was somewhat disappointed though when I saw the finished product, because it didn't look very clean. He said it was due to stains that were already in the plaster that came back through after cleaning. That may be the case I don't know. There's nothing I can do about it without re-draining the pool. I had one other minor irritation -- the pool needs a drain cover, but James didn't mention that fact, and there's no way to install one now that the pool's filled, unless I put on scuba gear. He could have easily installed it while the pool was empty. But overall I got a good value and he did good work.

Mr. Galasso arrived promptly and was courteous and helpful throughout our appointment. He repaired the timer and fixed the lines to my pool spa and then he pointed out that the pressure on the pressure gauge was higher than normal and offered to check my DE filter after finding out that it had not been cleaned for a year. He opened it up and we discovered that it was in dire need of cleaning and repair. He was kind enough to clean it for me and waited for over an hour for me to pick up a threaded rod, nuts and bolts and grid so he could repair it on the spot. Since money was tight, he was willing to let me pay for the original service and said that I could pay for the cleaning/repair of the DE filter the next month. He was very patient as he explained how the pool system worked and it was clear that he was really interested in doing a highly professional job and really cares about customers.
