They did an excellent job. Excellent all around. They were very fast, efficient, and clean. They came and did the job perfectly in a short period of time. They brought them down and clean it up. We are very satisfied.

The job performed was excellent. The tree looked very pretty after it was trimmed. The tree cutting and grinding of stub and shrubs were very clean. The crew lead was courteous and friendly and provided good feedback/suggestions.

Original appointment was a no-show. To be here between 10am and Noon. At 12:30pm, I had not heard anything, so, I called the office. They said that they could not come due to previous job taking longer than expected. I was not happy since I had arranged to take the day off. I suggested another day, they confirmed and arrived bright and early as planned. Did a good job.
I had gotten 3 estimates....1 similar in price and 1 nearly 60% more.
I will use again.

They came on time. We worked out an excellent quote on what needed to be done. They did an excellent job. There was just one thing that I noticed wasn't done that I caught before they left and they corrected it immediately. If you ware having deep root seeding make sure the sprinkler lines are clearly indicated with flags.

A few years ago I had my 2 giant Aleppo Pine trees trimmed by Tree Doctors. The reccomendation at the time came from my landscape architect who said they were very good. At that time, they were punctual and professional.
Fast forward to this past December: I had a very large pecan tree, two African Sumacs and a large old Ash tree on a rental property that needed trimming as well as the 2 Aleppo pines again. Since I couldn't remember the name of the company from the first time, I went on Angie's list to find another. I recognized the name of this company when I saw it and decided to stick with what I knew despite some negative reviews by others.
The experience was awful! The forman on my first job, Dave, apparently has gone on to law school--perhaps the first experience was so much better because of him? At any rate, they came to do the trees on the appointed day. I took off work, came down to the property and was informed they could not trim the pecan tree because it had electrical and phone wires going through it and APS would have to come and drop the power lines first--why didn't the salesman who came to give me the estimate indicate that on the work order? When I called him, he said he did, but the scheduler said he didn't. They wanted me to wait 3 weeks (for the job on the pine trees) for a return trip to the pecan tree which I said was unacceptable. The scheduler then told me she would have APS out on 1/2/13 which I relayed to my renters (who work from home and would not have power during the drop). When I called the scheduler next, she tells me the APS time isn't actually confirmed until APS confirms it--then why didn't she tell me she'd TRY to get APS out on 1/2?
Even longer story short...my renters call me the day after the pecan tree is trimmed to say that the phone line to the house (which had been disconnected for trimming) had been left lying in the yard. The salesman blames the scheduler for the APS miss, the scheduler blames APS, nobody seems to know about the phone line and when I talk with the owner, he tells me I should take solace in the knowledge that the salesman underbid the job, I tell him that doesn't equal 2 days of missed work, the phone lines snafu and overall frustration and aggravation. What should have been simple and smooth turned into a long, drawn-out and chaotic mess.
To be fair, the actual work on all of the trees was perfectly fine and the aborist who supervised the actual work on the pine trees , Daniel, was extremely pleasant, accomodating and knowledgable (I think they tried to make up for the debacle on the rental job). But, despite calling twice for a window of arrival time on the pine trees, I never got a call back and so waited all day for the crew who arrived at 2 pm. This is a large company so I cannot reconcile their size and workload with the poor internal communication and, most importantly, their disregard for the customer's time.
One misstep is an accident...Two missteps is a coincidence...3 missteps is a pattern.

Overall, this was a good experience. The arborist who came out and did the estimate was knowledgeable, punctual, and available in e-mail for follow-up questions, which I liked. He was honest up front that saving Queen Palms is difficult in the Arizona heat, and professionally described exactly what they would try to do and how it may or may not work in my situation. There was no pressure on the sale, but with such a competitive price I decided to give it a shot. The services were performed a few weeks ago and needs 60 days to see the results, so I cannot say if the service was successful, but it was everything it was supposed to be.

As per their normal professional service, they showed up on time, trimmed beautifully, cleaned up, and left. I wasn't home when they did the work but I returned to a beautiful home.

We got the original estimate in February and they kept true to the same estimate. We got the job done only in April and they stuck to the same estimate though it was valid only for 30 days or so. They did a very good job and cleaned up very well after themselves. They took some protective measure before they did the stump grinding. They were very nice and their price was the best. I spoke with a woman on the phone and she was very nice.

They were terrible because our tree died. It was fairly good indicator. The guy who came out to do the work, seed our trees and check them out. In fact every trees he worked on had died.

My trees had not been trimmed in several years. I called Tree Doctors and they came out and left an estimate. The estimate was within the range I expected and I gave them the go ahead. They came out as scheduled and performed all the work and cleaned up after themselves to 95% of my expectation. They were more aggressive in their trimming then a previous trimmer, but that was fine with me.

Very professional. The project supervisor, Daniel, called me (I was out of state) on the job site and we discussed some of the trimming issues. They did tear an irrigation line during stump grinding, but that is quite common, and they suggested an irrigation person, Jenkins Landscaping to repair it. Mr.Jenkins was at the site in a couple of days to repair the line.

very good experience, the owner Dave returned my initial call quickly, went to inspect tree and got me an estimate within a day or so. Scheduled, showed up on time, crew very nice and crew leader especially informative about possible replacement trees and when to plant, etc.. Good clean up also.Estimate was 1/2 of what another company quoted me.

Wonderful. I had to meet a deadline for clearing my alley, and they bent over backwards to help me get it done in time. They were prompt, did good work, and the cost was reasonable.

Great experience. Tree Doctors are professional and did a great job with a difficult old tree. They arrived on time with an efficient and careful crew. They are well trained and the arborist did a good job of retaining the aesthetics of the tree. They don't just come in and hack away. I'll definitely have them for any future tree trimming.

Dave came out to give us an estimate, which very reasonable. He also gave us recommendations on what needed to be trimmed and what could be put off. We appreciated his advice against aggressively trimming a large grapefruit tree, and suggesting what we could do ourselves. Dave also gave us good advice about properly watering the trees. The work crew arrived on time, as scheduled. They worked together efficiently as a team, demonstrating a great deal of knowledge. The only access to the trees was through the house and they were extremely careful not to make a mess. They also cleaned up everything outside. We gave them a "B" for quality rather than an "A" only because they didn't trim the crown as thoroughly as we had expected for the charge on that portion of the work. The "B" on responsiveness reflects some difficulty we had in getting the original estimate revised to reflect the actual work we wanted done. But all-in-all, we were extremely pleased with this tree service and we would use them again.

they have the heavy equipment to remove large trees, have the expertise to know what to do.

Four/five men efficiently removed the tree by sawing off the branches and finally the trunk. Due to no direct ingress egress to street I suggested they use my roof to carry all the tree products to their truck. They handed the limbs and trunk to men on the roof to carry to the other side of house and handed down to other workers. They very carefully carried the necessary tree removal equipment thru my home to get to the patio. They ground the stump. They cleaned up thoroughly my patio. They came they went and accomplished their task in less than an hour.

Crew of four, two climbers, one up into each of the trees to be trimmed and two helpers on the ground or roof-top. I stayed with them entire time - about 2-1/2 hours - and gave guidance as to what I was looking for when requested. Clean-up thorough.

The estimator was helpful and professional. The trimmers arrived on time and were very careful to ensure existing landscaping was not damaged during the work. They cleaned everything up afterwords and left the yard spotless. Edmund was the primary arborist doing the work and he is a genius. The tree looked great, you couldn't tell that it had a large amount of trimming and thinning done. They did, without a doubt, the best job I have ever had done on that tree. I highly recommend the company and Edmund in particular.
