The beehives website stated that they would take the bees alive, which is what attracted me to this particular business in my Google search. After discussing with Chris over the phone and stating that if a honeycomb was present I did not want to do a repair but rather just remove the honeycomb, there was no mention that if the honeycomb was present that the bees would have to be exterminated. (If I was calling to have several bees removed wouldn’t it be given that a honeycomb is present?) The person that came did not seem equipped to take them alive and left several hundred dead bees on the floor of my shed without cleanup. I called Chris about this and he suggested that I shoveled them up or shovel dirt on top of them. If this was in a rated business over a year ago it certainly has strayed a long way…

"I'm sorry that you were not completely happy with our service. My name is Kevin I took the initial call. As we talked about on the phone removing bees from under a shed alive is not a good practice simply because when cutting the shed floor open to remove the bees the bees can get extremely agitated coming out stinging Neighbors three to four houses away or animals as well. Safety always comes first it'[Member Information Removed] better to be safe than have a liability problem. Don't get me wrong we love to save bees whenever possible but in that particular instance it'[Member Information Removed] just not practical."

Beehive found all the nests, removed all the nests, killed many of the wasps and sprayed so that they will not return for a few months. They also placed a netting over the vents to prevent their return. They were thorough, professional and a pleasure to work with.

We had noticed new bee activity in an area around our roof. We called our regular pest control company, who referred us to a bee control company they partner with. When I received a call from them, their price was almost $300, and couldn't come until the next afternoon. When I asked if that included cleaning up the dead bees, he seemed like that was an unusual request (we'd had to have a swarm removed once that seemed intent on staying, and it contained tens of thousands of bees, which the bee removal service cleaned up). He said he didn't clean up the dead bees. We were afraid of the bees starting a hive, and didn't want to wait that long. We found Beehive on Angie's List and on Yelp with great reviews, so I called them. They responded to my phone message within minutes and sent someone right out. They quoted us $175, and they said if there were a lot of dead bees, they'd clean it up. From the time I left the message until they finished the job was 50 minutes! And a little over half the price of the company our pest control people partnered with. Luckily, the bee activity was only a bunch of scouts looking for a place to start a hive, and it looked like they'd found one in a nook under our eaves. Beehive took care of the scouts and sprayed a repellant. The work is guaranteed for 3 months. We're very happy with how fast they responded, and with their customer service. (I had to call them back a couple times with some questions before they arrived, and they returned the calls immediately). The B on price is only because they really had very little to do for that price in terms of removal and really, no clean up to speak of. If they'd had a large colony starting a hive or swarming, it would have been a great price for that. Still, it was much better than the quote from the other company—and they got here quickly and took care of it before it developed into a bigger problem. We would have been very unhappy with that small amount of work for $300.

After finding several bees in our house on a Friday evening we were thoroughly freaked out and didn't know what our options would be. We figured out they were getting in through our fireplace and called Beehive LLC. I was so amazed they were able to respond so quickly. Answered my call right away even on a Saturday afternoon. Someone arrived in a couple of hours and exterminated the swarm of bees. He was courteous and informative. There is a 3-month guarantee if we notice any remaining bees, but we have not seen any more.

We had a couple of live wasps getting inside our home on a few occasions and our regular pest exterminator was clueless. The problem continued and it was time to call a professional. We looked on Angie's List and I called a couple of places. Kevin impressed me the most over the phone and he was able to come out the same day. Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly found "the nest" in one of our vents and eliminated the problem on the spot with a spray and screened the vent hole to eliminate any further problems. We decided it would be best to have the rest of our vents screened as well, so Kevin went back up on the roof & screened ALL our vents for us at an additional charge, to give us future protection. It has been a few weeks since Kevin's visit and we have not had any more wasps inside our home. I would recommend Kevin to anyone that needs this type of service.

A friend recommended Kevin and my husband called right away. Since it was after 6:30 p.m., we weren't sure we could get anything done until the next morning. Kevin was willing to come right over and took care of the problem that evening. He explained that the bees were scouting bees looking for a new home and because they are attracted to light, perhaps they were getting in the house through an electrical opening. That explained the bees in the house that were flying around the dining room light. Kevin was friendly and professional and we were so glad that he was able to come right away. It was real peace of mind going to bed that night knowing the bees were taken care of. The price was very reasonable considering he responded to our call within an hour. I would definitely recommend Kevin and The Beehive LLC!
