Kevin was awesome. He came out and we discussed the project and went over ideas and he gave us a quote. We changed the style significantly and he still stuck by the quote. What he was able to accomplish in a day was nothing short of amazing. He did a spectacular job of turning our ideas and sketches into a reality. If anyone has used reclaimed wood, you know it is not easy to work with. He gave input on design which really improved the functionality of the space. I would hire him again without hesitation.

Kevin is an outstanding professional and we could not be more pleased with his work. The entire project was completed on time and on budget. Most importantly, as this is a vacation home, the entire project was completed without us being there to oversee the project, and I can honestly say that the work exceeded all of our expectations. Kevin kept us informed with pictures and regular text updates almost daily. In addition to the beautiful bathrooms, he incorporated a wine barrel into the cabinetry in the bar which was a last minute addition. Simply put, if your looking for a honest, hardworking, and quality-minded professional, hire Kevin from Rare Arts Construction. We plan on using Kevin for all of our future projects.

Kevin is cheerful and got the job done ahead of time and on quote.  He did a beautiful job and now our bathroom feels like a spa instead of the dingy, dated builder-grade room it once was!  He was very clean and organized and was a pleasure to work with.  We would definitely recommend him to our friends, family and neighbors.

Kevin was great. My wife can be picky but Kevin was very open to her ideas and made quite a few changes to make her happy.
We had originally hired another interior designer to help us, but she would not work with us. It was her way or the highway.
Not Kevin.  He had some great ideas and incorporated his ideas with ours to create a masterpiece.
We will be calling on Rare Arts Construction for other interior projects in the future.

"So Much Fun you guys !! Another home away project so communication was key to any success here. They had a previous rendition of the media wall 90% completed before Mrs. put the brakes on it and reached out to Rare Arts through AL. This is really a remarkable service as you can trust what you read here. I'd like to personally thank Mr/ Mrs and Angie for putting us together and making such a great experience happen with your dreams in mind. Side note: trust your instincts, use inspiration, acquire quality assistance. Dreams do come true. Thank you for the work and the review"

Kevin is very professional and the job site was spotlessly clean each day. He had great ideas and when needed used reliable subs who were equally good. The job was finished when promised.
Response from Rare Arts Construction
"When a customer entrusts a contractor to perform remodels while they are at work or on vacation, they had better be on point. Thank you so much for the "spotless" compliment. It means a lot to me when folks notice the extra steps taken to come home to a clean environment each night when there may have been chipping hammers going during the day!! Thanks again for the "A" review.."

It went very well, he did an excellent job both creatively and with the tile work. I had pictures of what I wanted done and he recreated them. Only problem was with the contractor that did the granite and Kevin was about to mediate and in the end all was fine.
Response from Rare Arts Construction
"Thank you for the "A" rating and review. A curve ball as I like to call them with our granite fabricator came up on this one.. We were able simply modify and change the elevation to a double laminate edge on the stone to raise the height and have room for the cook top. A minor cost also, but the change complimented the butcher block island better. Absolutely a stellar job overall and great choices by the customer! Enjoy!"

For us remodeling is extremely stressful. Without Rare Arts Construction and all of Kevin's guidance, it would have been much more so.

Rare Arts had remodeled a bathroom and kitchen in our previous house as well and the work was exceptional. Kevin also built a beautiful kitchen island and performed other renovations in the kitchen of our current home. All of the work done by Rare Arts has been very professional and beautiful.

We have always found Rare Arts Construction to be extremely reliable and reasonably priced. The work has always been performed with the utmost care. The work is always done with every effort to protect our home from and dust, dirt or damage.

We highly recommend Kevin. It is a always a pleasure to work with his company, Rare Arts Construction.

"It gives me great satisfaction to hear that I can reduce a customers stress!! Contractors, if your listening, it's easy, constant communication.. Listen to your customers needs and concerns. Sometimes you have to ask their questions for them and give them options to achieve their wishes..This project was so much fun, we were sending photos back and forth along the process because the customer was out of town during construction. Thank you so much for the great review."

Kevin is a high-quality worker. He did a terrific job. My backsplash was complicated: small tiles with a contrasting color peppered in, which was rather painstaking work. It looks wonderful, as does our new fireplace surround. The cabinets are wonderful. Kevin also coordinates the other people--the granite facilitators and plumbers--necessary for a kitchen re-model. He did our bathrooms last spring and there was no question that we'd bring him back to do the kitchen. Completely trustworthy, very good at cleaning up. I highly recommend him. Bathrooms and kitchen look amazing.

Kevin did an amazing job remodeling our bathroom.
Everything from design, demolition of existing old bathroom and building the new shower and bathroom was smooth, and done with precision. All lime stone tiles had to be cut into 3x12 to achieve the look we desired. This was complemented by a pebbled shower pan floor and full slab marble threshold. Kevin's fabrication skills are really amazing. The final result was better that we ever hoped.
We were really lucky to meet such a good Craftsman. Thank you Kevin, hope to work with you in the future.

He searched everywhere to find doors that would match my existing cabinetry. He did find a match and at a more than reasonable price. He is very honest, reliable and professional. I couldn't be happier with the work.

He was very prompt and extremely professional. He helped me design it, as I wasn't sure what I wanted. He far exceeded my expectations of how it would turn out. He was very honest and very reliable. There were no hidden charges. Everything he does is at the height of professionalism.

This huge job was so much easier than I ever imagined, thanks to Kevin McQuillan's organizing skills and talents! I rated Rare Arts Construction with all A's because Kevin deserves it.I am so pleased with the end results. The job ran smooth from the beginning.Kevin contacts everyone that needs to be involved and he keeps you informed of what is happening.Kevin works in a timely fashion, pays great attention to details and neatness. He made follow up phone calls making sure the other people showed up to do their job and do it right.I promise you, that you won't be disappointed I highly recommend him. This was the second job he did for us.I have nothing negative to report, all good!!,How refreshing to have a person who takes pride in his work actually cares!

"This was a really cool project. The old kitchen was fairly dated and the member made some excellent high end choices to replace the old boxes. The members are so easy going and it was fun to see there dream kitchen come to fruition. Waiting to see the choice for the back splash !!"

I'm re-doing my earlier, very brief, report, with a corrected price; I paid Kevin roughly $12,000 though there were additional payments to plumbers, etc. He was terrific: was there every day, working constantly. He was very helpful in terms of thinking about various options and did a wonderful job. The bathrooms look terrific and he paid close attention to all details. In addition, he's a great guy and completely trustworthy. Will definitely bring him back when we do the kitchen and would recommend him to anyone. He's done work for most of my neighbors and we all rave about him.
Response from Rare Arts Construction
"Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to showcase some of my talents for you and him. It was truly a memorable few weeks. It's easy to work so hard when people appreciate what you do. Looking forward to the kitchen next."

They were beyond excellent. They were able to do the whole thing in less than a week. Now the rest of the bathroom looks horrible because the shower is so beautiful. We called him and told him that the rest of the bathroom looks terrible and he said that he was busy until after the first of the year, so he is coming back to redo the rest of the bathroom. His prices came in so much lower than everybody else. He happened to work with our plumber that we have used for years and years. He was so professional and did such a good job. He did an outstanding job and we can't say enough about him. We bought some pretty expensive tile and we did some pretty weird things with the stone. He did the floor is spa-like stones and a decorative border in stone. He even went out and broke up other pieces of the little pallets that the stones were on to make sure it was all uniform. We thought he was pickier than we were and it wasn't even his house.
Response from Rare Arts Construction
"Member, thank you for the great rating. It was an awesome project and I was happy to be so "picky"about the stone. Glad you are enjoying the new shower!!"
