My home in Phoenix, AZ is a mid century modern post and beam house with an approximate 16 foot long by 10 foot high glass window wall. Sheets of glass which are approx 3 and 3/4 feet wide by 6 1/2 feet tall are inserted between posts on the bottom half of the wall. These are held in place by by 1" thick mullions. A top row of glass panels 3 and 3/4 feet wide by 3 and 1/4 feet tall (held in place by 1' thick mullions) are positioned exactly above the lower panels. Like many architecturally designed homes in the mid century period, the window wall was originally site built. Based on the hot summer climate in Phoenix with a few cool days in the winter, I wished to replace the single pane glass with double pane lowE glass. Because I wanted to preserve the architectural character of the site built wall, i did not want to go with common replacement windows. Brandon, the sales rep I worked with at Gilbert Glass, knew exactly what I was contemplating and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with suggesting the right kind of double paned insulated units and lowE coating (Solarban 60). Craige, the Gilbert Glass installer, and Brandon were meticulous about looking over the glass panels when they arrived in their shop from the manufacturer and found small defects in two panels. I am also very detail oriented and noticed some wavy distortion in three panels upon installation. Upon my inspection and notification, Gilbert Glass reordered the panels in slightly thicker glass and reinstalled them to my satisfaction. I am delighted with the final glass product and the superb work that Gilbert Glass performed! I would recommend Gilbert Glass to close friends and I plan on calling them again in another year or so to replace some windows in another room. In addition to the great work, Craig and his assistants were very neat and swept and vacuumed away any debris each time they were at my home. In addition, each person I worked with at Gilbert Glass was extremely polite and friendly. Gilbert glass is one of the best companies I've had the pleasure of doing business with in Phoenix!

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! Please read and see why: We ordered a piece of double pane glass to replace an arched window in our dining area. They came to install the glass today and when they were finished I noticed the glass wasn't cut right at the top. The installer gave me some story about how they have to cut the glass short in order to keep it from cracking again when the house settles. We then called the company back and told them that the glass wasn't just a tad bit smaller but it was actually cut too short at the top and was very distracting from the appearance of the window. They told us they wouldn't fix it for us or give us any refunds because it was cosmetic only. They also told us that if we checked with the registrar of contractors there is a clause that protects them from a certain margin of error and that this window cut fell into this category. Therefore they didn't have to do anything to fix the situation and make us a satisfied customer. Anyways, I will NEVER use this company again and I will tell everyone I know that they have no integrity when it comes to their work. F minus!

The glazer was 6 hours late. They do not work on Saturdays. The window was not measured properly and did not fit. He installed it anyway and used silicon caulk in the gaps. I had to take a day off work to be at home so they could come measure, and then another day off so they could install. I didn't have enough vacation time to make them return the window and bring one the proper size.

I had recently undergone back & hip surgery and was unable physically to do the work required. I contacted Gilbert Glass and they had a repairman at my home within the week. The repairman was pleasant and courteous and completed the job in less than 30 minutes. I will use Gilbert Glass again in the future should additional window repairs/replacements be necessary.

I live on a golf course so windows get knocked out regularly. They come when they say they are going to be there. They have been here so many times that they put me on the priority list. Their prices are fair and they do a quality job.

GILBERT GLASS WAS VERY RESPONSIVE GETTING THIS WINDOW FIXED IN THE HEAT OF THE AZ SUMMER. THEY MAKE THE DUAL PANE WINDOWS AT THEIR SHOP WHICH ENABLES YOU TO HAVE REPLACEMENTS RIGHT AWAY. IT COST A LITTLE MORE BUT IT'S WORTH IT. THEY CAME OUT AND REPLACED THE WINDOW WITH-IN 12 HOURS, REMOVED ALL THE BROKEN GLASS AND RESEALED IT TO MATCH ALL THE OTHER WINDOWS. VERY NICE FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS.
