I contacted Dr. Tate and she answered me immediately. What a beautiful person she is, not only a good doctor but a beautiful person with compassion. She is a "seasoned Vet" which I really like. My little kitty Ginger had dental surgery with a different Vet and developed problems after and the Vet that did the surgery wasn't owning up to the problem and wasn't responding to me. Dr. Tate went out of her way to rearrange her schedule just to come and help me with my beautiful kitty. Since then I've reached out to her and she's answered me every time and she's now sending me an antibiotic for my Ginger since the other Vet did not do that either. The price that I paid was small for having Dr. Tate come to my home since I am almost in Gold Canyon. She's an amazing Vet and I will definitely be having her take care of my kitties!!! So thankful for Dr. Tate!!

I called and spoke with someone about setting up an appointment for my cat.  She asked about the reason for my appointment and my cross streets and I was told I would get a call back.  Almost 3 weeks later and I never did receive a call back.  I decided I wasn't going to continue calling them.  If they wanted my business they would have called me back.
Response from East Valley Mobile Vet
"We keep a detailed record of all incoming calls. I went back to the date in question and reviewed the details as well as our appointment book for that day. We were over booked on that day and worked until 7pm. The only call regarding a sick cat on that day was for a 5 year old kitty that appeared injured and was "holding his head down". I explained that we could fit the call in but there would be an emergency fee. I also indicated the cat should probably be taken in to his regular vet in case x-rays may be necessary. The owner declined an emergency appointment and said she would call us back if she still needed us the next day. We do our best to answer the phone even on the road and we definitely do our best to get back with people when we say we will. I'm sure we've occasionally missed a call or two but not out of recklessness or apathy."

Dr. Tate is great.  If I wrote the long version of why she and her practice are so fabulous, it would probably be filtered out because no one would believe me.
We have more pets than the average family.  Dr. Tate started off coming to treat our oldest cat for digestive issues and has been our vet every since.  There are many reasons why she is a cut above the rest.
  1. 1.  She is always the person who treats your furry friend.  There is no vet tech finishing procedures or giving you advice.  Her vet tech is fabulous but Dr. Tate is the one who treats the pets.
  2. 2.  They give you a window of time (usually two hours).  They call ahead to tell you they are on the way so you can quarantine your pet if they are likely to hide (which we have one or two that do that).
  3. 3.  She is reasonably priced.  I was a bit nervous about having her treat all our pets thinking it would be way more money than a non-mobile vet.  Guess what?  Not true.  It is the same price and even times less.  Better yet, she isn't being distracted by another patience in the waiting room cause there is no waiting room.  Also, there is no up-sell.  It is about the NEEDS of the pet!
  4. 4.  She isn't afraid of a tough problem. We have presented some complicated animals to her (we are suckers for the sick ones) and she has been committed to working with us for solutions.  She has never charged us for her time to research and I am sure it has been upwards of 40 hours.  She isn't afraid to think outside the box and doesn't lump animals into a box.
  5. 5.  She has a heart.  Despite the fact that she is a seasoned and knowledgeable vet, she puts her whole heart into everything.  She cares about her patients and their families.  She hurts when you hurt.  I don't know how she has managed not to be hardened but she hasn't.
  6. 6.  She knows her strengths.  She will refer you to a specialist when you need one because she definitely doesn't have an ego.
We have had two cats battle Lymphoma (two different forms).  One of those cats was my husband's cat that he had for 17 years.  She was with us through it all.  When we saw the oncologist, we always checked in when she got the reports to see how we felt, did we have questions, how she could help.  She wanted to make sure that we understood everything so we could make educated decisions.  Because of her commitment to her patients, she knows them well so that she can guide you about each individual animal.  She helped us make hard decisions and know where the "in the best interest of the animal" line was drawn.  When it was time to help our Roxy (she was shy of two years old) pass over the bridge, she came to the house and let us have our time.  There was no "I have twenty minutes" pressure.  It took us over two hours to be ready (although we knew for days this was coming).  She was so compassionate and I even saw a few tears in her eyes.  She has such compassion.
Because of our numerous pets and many with long standing health issues, we see Dr. Tate more than most.  During these past several years, we have had the opportunity to see not only what an amazing vet she is, but what a kind, generous person she is.  She will sacrifice herself for the good of an animal.
There aren't many people who we feel put heart before money these days but that is definitely Dr. Tate.  I am so glad that we came to find her several years ago.  I could give you countless more examples of the things I have seen her do and the way she has treated our animals that far exceeds any other vet but I would imagine that anyone who reads this review understands that my husband and I think Dr. Tate is the "Cat's Meow" and makes the world a better place!

They are still as great as ever. They came to do blood work on my cat that has liver issues. He is 14 years old, so they came by and took a blood sample and had it checked out. He needs to continue on liver medication, which I gave at 2 o'clock. The person who comes knows what she is doing. She loves animals and she gives ultimate care. It is helpful to have somebody who can come to the house. We pay a little extra for her to come to the house, but she is very good.

Dr. Georgia Tate is an experienced and accomplished vet and I have used her for years. She truly cares about the animals and the nature of her business, coming to your home, helps to minimize the trauma of taking an animal to the vet's office.
