B&C Tree Service

After a couple of bad experiences with other companies (e.g., where they bid the job and then wanted more money before completing the job) B&C honored all their original commitments. They actually did more than the original scope so they exceeded our expectations. They have all the right equipment to get the job done, including a self-contained, mobile support truck with facilities for their men. Professional, hardworking, thorough, and friendly crew. Overall, we were delighted with the B&C team and will only use them for our future needs.

Talked with the Co. two or three day after they were in our backyard, on time, ready to work, they chopped down what was left of the tree, about 3 or 4 feet of stump. they had a machine that mulched the remaining stump below ground level, then covered the hole with the dirt. Cleaned up everything and left. total time about 1 1/2 hours. Can not even tell there was a tree in that spot now. Very Pleased with the work done

The trimmed palms and mesquite look great afterwards. The dead tree is gone and there is no sign of the stump. There was no litter in the yard and they secured the gate after the job. They showed up on time and did not bill me until after the work was completed. I am very pleased with the service and will definitely use this company again in the future.

The work was excellent. From the time I contacted Brent Thomas, the Owner, until our apt the upcoming Saturday at9:00 AM in Mariopa, everything went so smooth. Brent was a personable, knowledgeable horticulturist and extremely courteous and professional. He and his crew conducted themselves in this manner throughout the entire experience. We told Brent what we needed and wanted, and he delivered us a quote. We were happy with the quote. We felt it to be extremely reasonable. Brent and his crew showed up at 9:00 AM and began performing their work. They completed all work, debri removal and returned the area, as it was, all before noon. I was amazed. There was never any sign that a tree, bushes, etc. had ever been on the property. And, Brent asked me if I would like to have the trees in front trimmed and pruned while he was there, and I jumped at the opportunity. The original quote was $750 and an extra $100 was added, but it was well worth it. Our yard, in our new home, looks great!!! And, Brent gave me some tips on how to control and maintain the plants in the front yard and ideas for planting. I would not hesitate to have Brent come to our home for any additional work. If his company performs the work, I would not have anyone else do it. Seriously. Fair, honest, dependable, reliable, reasonable, just a few adjectives describe this company's work.

Once we contacted by phone all went smoothly. Very well professional and considerate. They did great work and cleaned up spectacular.

They did a good job. Their equipment was not sharp as it should have been so it took them a longer to do it properly but they did it okay. They did a very satisfactory job. They got the job done.

The job went perfectly. We got an estimate the week prior and scheduled the work. The crew arrived on time and completed the job in short order. The trees look wonderful! Cleanup was excellent as well - the guys even blew all the fallen leaves and hauled them away in addition to the branches. These fellas are so nice - they also helped me harvest two large lemongrass plants that I couldn't dig out myself! Thanks guys!!!
This is actually the second time we've used Band C - the first time was to remove a eucalyptus tree. Such excellent service that I've recommended them to friends and then worked with them again at our home. I would definitely recommend Band C to anyone looking to have quality work done promtply and at a reasonable price.

Scheduled the work quickly and at the best price I could find. It was 72 hours from first phone call to work completion. The price was significantly lower than other quotes I had gotten. The team showed up promptly and powered through the originally requested job, leaving the place neat and clean. During the job, there was a little extra time while waiting for the stump grinder to finish so the other trees on my property got their annual attention, again at significantly better prices than quotes I had gotten. The owner and team members were very friendly and professional. Will definitely be using these guys in the future.

Excellent! They pulled my palm tree out from a tricky place (just one foot from my curbing and 18 inches from my driveway). They added my extension from the buried drip line so that I knew were the line was in-case I ever replanted. The owner, Brent, oversaw all the work. Mission Accomplished!

I got them off Angie's list. They gave us lot of options about how to remove the tree. We were really happy with them. I rate them high overall and will use them again.

They were on time. They were nice. They had the best price. They were fast. I would use them again in the future.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've used Band S services and they are consistently excellent! My HOA uses them, so Brent gives us a discount if we book tree maintenance while he's on site doing our common areas. This time, I forgot to call him ahead of time. But when I saw his trucks this morning, I called Brent. He and his crew were here within the hour. Talk about instant gratification! As before, Brent's workers hand-pruned my overgrown ficus and lime trees to shape before using the power trimmers. My trees have never looked better, and Band S leaves the yard looking immaculate AND they don't leave a clipping on the street!

We called Band C for our annual palm tree trimming. We were offered a spot on their scheduled route to save us money and were were happy to accept. Again, they did the work to their usual excellent standards.

Based on positive Angie's List reviews, I gave Brent a call on a Thursday afternoon to inquire about getting an estimate to have two palm trees removed--one about 15-20' tall and one 50+ feet tall. Both were in a fairly tight place, right on the edge of a pool wall between a pool fence and the pool. Brent promptly called back Friday morning, stopped by Saturday with an estimate of $650 for the palm removal, and was at the house promptly at 7 a.m. Monday as promised to do the work. Over the weekend, my husband and I had taken down another large tree in our front yard and had difficulty removing the stump, so Brent removed and ground that stump for us for an additional $60. His crew was courteous, friendly, and cleaned up everything beautifully. We are very pleased with the result and will not hesitate to use Band C again and to refer them to our friends!

For the 6/25 job I used the List to get a couple estimates. Nobody wanted to do the job because they couldn't see how to avoid breaking more tiles. Brent came out to give me his free estimate, agreed to do the work, and showed up promptly to do it. He has a large crew, all of whom wear hard hats, a pick-up for them to ride in (he shows up himself in his own pick-up), and a wood-chipper to dispose of everything he takes off the tree, even if it's as big around as your thigh. It took them about 15 minutes to get the limb down and get out of there. For the 10/27 job Brent showed up shortly after 6:00 a.m.(which was about an hour before I expected him) with his crew as before--he did call me inadvance of his arrival, though. They did a thorough job of trimming and cleaning up my tree, and were gone by 7:00. For trimming the tree, the best other estimate I could get was about $425--$450, so I was satisfied with the price.

Positive reviews prompted us to call this company to remove a large dead ficus tree and grind the stump. After a couple of false starts, the crew arrived and completed the task very quickly. Price was good, service was better then expected. We have used them again to trim our palm trees.

The first time I called, no one called me back to schedule a time for an estimate. After second call, someone did come. I agreed to the estimate and we set up an approximate time for the work to be done. No one came and no one called to reschedule. Finally, a week later someone came to do the work. Once here, they were very professional and did a very good job.

I called to set up an appointment for an estimate and I got a call back by the end of the day. I left the backyard gate open the next day so that they had access. ;I thought we had discussed having a written quote left but when I called to follow up, I was given a verbal quote for almost $200 less the next cheapest estimate we had been given; $800 for all of the work we wanted done was a great deal, so we went ahead and scheduled the work to be done that Wednesday (two days later). On the day of the work, I called Brent at 9:30am to ask him to make sure that the palm trees would be trimmed up nice and high (we hate those things so we won't have to mess around with them for awhile). When Brent answered he informed me that they were already done with our yard but he would double check and make sure that the palms were trimmed up tight. I greatly appreciated his promptness, professionalism and customer service. When I got home from work, the yard looked immaculate, better then before they did the work. They raked up everything, including a side yard that they didn't do any work in. They did an excellent job with all of the stump grinding-you couldn't even tell there had been a tree there before. The branches of the mesquite were fairly grown into a nearby tree and they did a great job of not doing damage to that nearby tree. A couple of branches had to be cut off but nothing major. The two backyard trees that we had removed had irrigation lines that ran right by their stumps so damage to those lines by the grinder was unavoidable. The minor inconvenience of having to repair those lines (because the previous owner was a bonehead when installing the lines) was far outweighed by the amazing job Band C did. Overall we had a great experience with Band C. We will definitely use them again for any tree work we need done and we have already recommended them to several of our friends.

Brent and his crew actually arrived 1/2 hour early and called to let me know they were here as opposed to ringing the doorbell. Much appreciated early in the morning. They removed a very large, top-heavy Eucalyptus and Chinese Bottle tree from my backyard. They were here less than 1 1/2 hours. They removed any sign of stumps and left my yard meticulously clean. They were very polite, courteous and professional.

Got bids from several companies. One of the companies wanted $3200!!!! Brent did the job for 1/3 that quote and when he was done, you could not tell three 30' trees had ever been in the yard. Truly a refreshing business deal to work with someone who does the job right, on time, and as quoted. And I got a nice pile of firewood out of the process (at my request). I'll use this guy again should the need arise.

Brent came to our house on the day he said he would to give us an estimate. His estimate was not the lowest among the six bids we collected, but it was very fair and not complicated with conditions and disclaimers like several of the other bids. Incredibly, he actually schedules the work to occur within the same week, on the day most convenient for us. His crew arrived on the day promised, did a spectacular job, caused absolutely no damages to our property (pool landscaping, equipment, decking, etc.), and cleaned everything up as they went. They had all the right equipment and knew how to use it (very impressive rope work, BTW), and got everything done within a couple of hours. Exceptional work at a very good price from an outstanding crew that we will definitely employ again!

It went very well. They did a great job with all items and cleaned up nicely after. We told them to leave a stump on the large tree they cut down, but we later decided we didn't want to pull it out ourselves, so Brent came back and cut it down to the ground without charging extra.

Brent came out to give a quote within 2 days of calling; arrived for quote on schedule. He did not give a formal bid or invoice, but wrote the price on the back of his business card. His price was 1/3 under a landscaping company's quote, so we hired him. He initially stated he might be able to do the job the day after we hired him, but if not he'd be out the next business day. He called to inform us that the first day wouldn't happen, but said he'd be there around 9 am the following day. He and his crew arrived on schedule. The work was completed in just over an hour. Stumps were ground as requested, they cleaned up the area and raked the rocks back over the area. They actually dug up the pygmy palms with a root ball and put them in buckets; I suppose they'll sell them to a landscaping company to be reused, which I'm glad for. All in all, I was very pleased with the experience and value, and I would hire them again.

I first called to schedule a trim in the Fall, but it didn't happen until January. That was frustrating. However, the quality of the work is exceptional. They arrived when they said they would, the crew was everywhere at once, working on the trees and cleaning up. They were very careful not to damage plants in the under story. To my delight they provided me with two garbage cans full of compost (from old tree clippings) and another garbage can of mesquite leaf droppings for me to put in my compost. They also provided my neighbor with mesquite wood for his barbecue. They consulted with me about problems I was having with my citrus trees. They were done in about 2.5 hours. My trees didn't look chopped up -- they just looked beautiful.
