AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care

Please be cautious when using AAMCO Total Care in Gilbert AZ. We took our car into AAMCO for a routine transmission maintenance and ended up having to purchase a new car. While we were in AAMCO for service we asked them to look at the suspension because the car was wobbling on curves. We were provided a quote to replace the stabilization bar. We agreed on the price and left for a short time. Upon our return we were told by Mitchell that the parts to be repaired were extremely rusty and they feared they would break a bolt if they worked on it. He suggested they obtain a couple other parts in order to repair appropriately. We took the estimate and left. Needless to say after we took the car for service at a dealership we found that AAMCO had broke the bolt and welded the parts back together. To correct this would be expensive because the sub frame needed to be replaced. The dealership mechanic showed me the welding and stated that the repair would only have cost us $800 if they didn't weld the parts after they broke it. We could have had the car towed and repaired for $800 instead of $3200. I urge you to be cautious when using AAMCO service.
