Truly awesome client-first mentality. I?ve always hesitated to go the big-box computer store associated computer techs, as they charge an arm and a leg just to walk in the door. So, just to assess if upgrades/repairs are feasible, it becomes immediately cost-prohibitive. Not so with FHCS. My problem was a two-year old netbook that was running out of disk space on its 300GB hard disk drive. So, I wanted a bigger, and faster (solid state-SSD) drive to give me more breathing room. Jamie Hansen (owner) spent about an hour finding 10GB here (audio files), 20GB there (drop box), and 50GB somewhere else (iphone backups) that could be placed on external drives/somewhere else if I wanted, immediately freeing up 80GB if I wanted to. He also spent some time discussing on-line back up service providers in lieu of manually backing up to an external drive, and clarified just exactly what data is backed up, and what is not. I still decided to go with a new 500GB SSD, and he helped me confirm what physical specifications to look for that would work inside my HP netbook, and then some shopping choices to look around to price compare. He then discussed what is involved in imaging my current drive to the new drive, costs, and additional costs if problems were encountered. Most importantly, he said if he tried and it didn?t work, it would be no charge?amazing. So, I got the SSD, and they said they could get it done in two days. I asked them if I could get it done quicker as I really rely on my netbook daily for business. Dave actually did the work, and Judy behind the counter was very nice coordinating everything and QC?ing it when it was done. As it turns out, the imaging and transfer was problem-free, and they got it done a lot earlier, and at the price they quoted. Outstanding! I really felt they under-charged me for all the consultation and services they provided. So my netbook is now an even faster little rocket (although the full-speed of the SATA III SSD is not realized due to the legacy architecture on my netbook) and its running about 3-5 times faster, and I?ve got a 500GB vs 300GB dive. So lots of room, coupled with high-speed. (Note: I also asked them to do a ?physical? cleaning of the netbook, as I was sure there was a bunch of dust and ?stuff? inside the machine due to our pets running around everywhere). Bottom line: Client-first mentality, guaranteed work, on-price, and (better than) on-time. If you are thinking about upgrades/repairs; it?s risk-free to explore your options with these pros. And, they also happen to be very nice people that know what they?re doing. Drop the big-box and go here!
