The final communication that we received from them on August 29, 2009 gave us no indication that they were so unhappy with our service: “Hi Mike, We have been busy seeking wise counsel and the advice of good friends, and the overwhelming consensus is this. You would make short work of our home addition, and we trust your abilities and craftsmanship. However, for smalltime [member] homeowners like ourselves, we need to go with a smaller operation to push our dollars further. For as you know we must all do what is right and best for our families and for ourselves. We are glad that we have amply compensated you for your time, and we thank you. Best wishes, [members] The construction business in Flagstaff is quite competitive, so we were not surprised that they chose a different contractor. However, we were astonished to receive this negative review five and a half years after we had worked together. The [members] were given their initial estimates and a few rough sketches at no charge. During the eight weeks that we worked through all of their requests, they were provided with multiple estimates, options, and drawings (8 in all). We are not sure what else we could have done to satisfy them. We are a small company that has benefited by our wonderful craftsman, knowledgeable staff, and excellent reputation in Flagstaff. We take great pride in customer satisfaction, and work very hard to keep our clients happy, knowledgeable, and apprised of what to expect and how much things cost. Our 35+ years in business have taught us that honesty and integrity are paramount."
