We purchased a lackluster RV garage and loft in Flagstaff on 5 acres. Our goal was to enhance the lot by adding a connected home, and we entrusted JKC with this task. Jeff Knorr (owner) and JKC skillfully designed and constructed a visually appealing home that seamlessly integrated with the uninspiring garage. We were fortunate to have Keith Buzzard as our building foreman. Recognizing the significance of open communication in any successful project, our rapport with Keith proved to be invaluable. Kerry-Lyn Love served as our exceptional home designer, and her ability to understand and align with my wife's tastes was invaluable throughout the material selection process. She treated the home like it was her own. Her proficiency in navigating CoConstruct (a home building application that tracks costs) was instrumental in keeping the project on track and ensuring that our vision translated into reality. JKC was voted the “Best Of Flagstaff” Home Builder & General Contractor.

We had two skylights installed in June 2017 by Randy from Flagstaff Skylights. First came out for a home inspection, then was on time for the install of two SolaTube skylights. They are a dramatic improvement over our previous dark kitchen. The night solar LED lights up in the tubes, has a nice glow, just enough to see and walk around in the dark. We give Randy and the Flagstaff Skylights team a 5 star review, would recommend, and use them again if we had another need.

These guys are the best. They are professional, friendly and know exactly what they are doing. My bathroom is absolutely beautiful. Everyone is an expert in their field, from project managers to plumbers and stone workers. My bathroom came out looking stunning, could rival a five star hotel (no joke). When my window leaked, I called my insurance agency, and the people they recommended did not fix the problem. Jeff and Frankie were able to find out where the leak was coming from, and they fixed it. The leak was coming from an obscure place on the roof. What makes this construction company stand out, is that they take pride in what they do. The bottom line is that they stand behind their work, and it is a quality experience all around. Very trustworthy and honorable.

Jeff was incredibly helpful from design through completion of our projects. There were no surprises regarding costs schedules, or quality of work. Mike, the project manager, was excellent in his communication during the multiple projects, a positively a delight to work with. We appreciated the consistently helpful advice from the entire JKC team.

Extremely professional project manager and key contractor personnel that ensured the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship in the new construction.  Closely supervised and monitored subcontractors including insisting on everything being done right and having subcontractors come back and correct as many times as needed to get the quality to their level of expectations.  Detailed construction proposal facilitated our understanding of the process and what was to be done; design concepts was initiated by the Contractor who listened to what our needs were and more than meet our expectations; pricing was competitive and resulted in an extremely good value based upon the quality of the materials and construction; and the project was competed earlier than anticipated with our COA being received 2/25/15 with a scheduled date of late March.  Highest of recommendation to anyone considering a home builder/general contractor in the Northern Arizona market.

I can't say enough good things about JKC (Jeff). He is totally honest, fair and his attention to detail is amazing. He is very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of construction and is great at finding innovative solutions and making good suggestions. Jeff game me a "cost plus" quote for the deck with a "not-to-exceed". The not-to-exceed quoted was $5,000 less than the next lowest quote. Jeff then built a bench, repaired an exterior beam and provided new supports for a large deck cover all within his original quote. Attention to details examples - he put weather striping cover on top of all deck joists to prevent decay (what good is composite decking if the joists go rotten). This took two men to days to complete. No other contractor would do that. The remodel included new shelving in the new master walk-in closet. During the inspection Jeff didn't like the work that had been done. I told Jeff that it was fine but he was not satisfied and had his men remove all of the shelving and then rebuild them. What other contractor would do that?

It's now been six years since Jeff did the remodel and I can say that we have not found one thing that we would do differently. The deck has been completed for 2 weeks and we love it.

This is not a solicited comment and my only association with Jeff is the work he has done for me. I never post comments unless I am upset about something but Jeff's work has been so good that I just had to comment.

I originally contacted JKC for a room addition I wanted on an existing housing.  They were very prompt in responding and set up a visit to the house within a couple of days.  On the first visit Jeff told me there would be some challenges due to the existing septic system and house's location in a flood zone.  I agreed to hire Jeff at an hourly rate to investigate the issue further and provide price estimates.  Jeff followed through on all of this by meeting the the county and coordinating an eleveation survey.  In the final analysis we decided against the room addition due to the expense of upgrading the septic system and dealing with a prior unpermitted addition.  Jeff was very prompt and did everything he said he would.  I would not hesitate to hire JKC for any future project.

They are fabulous! They are one of the best contractors that I’ve hired.  Their people are nothing but fabulous in terms of staying on top of issues, staying in budget, keeping on time, and communicating with us.   Kerri is great at helping us with the designs in a fairly complicated situation.   Their work was clean and their quality control was beyond what I expected from a contractor. When I went through a final walkthrough after the remodel, I found no issues at all.   It has always been a very pleasant experience with them. I’d continue to hire them for any other work I’d need done on the house.
