I hired Warren Cross to do quite a bit of work around the house in the order of $43,000. He hired several very excellent subcontractors who did about 2/3 of the work. I paid up-front about 70% for the work. After the 2/3s of the work was done, Warren indicated that he needed the balance of funds to complete the job. He was already delayed about 5 weeks, but I gave him the balance. What I got for the balance was very shoddy work and when I spoke to Warren about it, he was very vague and elusive. In addition, he only showed up occasionally after he was paid in full. I started getting calls and contacts that he didn’t pay the sub-contractors in-full. After I notified Warren, he essentially disappeared. I figured that I’m out about $10,000. Warren told me repeatedly that he was a licensed contractor as he also told his subcontractors. I didn’t do my ‘due diligence’. He is NOT on the Arizona Registry of Contractors. So it’s off to court. Consider yourself now informed and don’t make a big and expensive mistake by hiring Warren. You may contact me for many more specifics, if you’d like. Buyer beware.
Description of Work: Full stucco of house done by subcontractors. Concrete work/extensive (multiple footprints left in concrete by Warren's crew and discoloration of concrete) Rock work on fireplace done by subcontractors. Porch with tongue and groove (Warren stained it dark redwood after repeated times of telling him light oak. I hired another contractor to take done the tongue and groove, plane it and reinstall $$$)
