ls should send the monies back to the owner and that the rest of the repairs can not do the inspectionThe previous owners of the home that I purchased, had to, by law, have their septic pumped and inspected and have any repairs done before the sale would go through. They called Black Hills Pumping Inc, which I have noticed are at their new address of 1330 S Paradise Dr, Cottonwood, 928-634-3578, to do the job. Afer moving in I noticed that the ground was had and not disturbed, so I pulled out a shovel and dug up the first opening from their map of the septic location. I had to remove tree roots to get to the first opening. My realtor called them and they sent out their employee Justin to point to the area that he dug up, it was the same hole that I had dug. I told him that he never opened it and that all the chambers had to be opened and pumped and inspected, they said that they never open more than one opening. They, Justin said that they would not do anything more and to" Have a nice day and don't call them back". I called the Yavapai county inspector and another pumping company. All openings have to be opened and pumped and inspected by eye and that an employee can not do an inspection. The licensed inspector at the company has to do it and fill out the paper work. The new company I used was great, "Yavapai Septic Service" They opened all 4 openings, Black Hills said there were only 3, The inspection showed that there was 24" of scum in the second chamber and that the out put leach line was 80% crushed, also tree roots everywhere, It was never opened. I am taking them to small claims court and have reported them to the BBB. My realtor has written all parties a letter saying the job was not done right and that Black Hills should refund the previous owners for the terrible job they did.
I just wanted to warn anybody thinking of using them, don't let the previous owners use them. They don't inspect and don't pump according to state rules. This has been a real eye opening experience.

Details above. It went very well in the sense that Eric was very helpful. The need for a septic service was not a welcomed outcome.

He inspected my plumb lines and determined the best location for a turn off valve; removed an old water softener attached to that line and installed the valve. He was prompt, had the right knowledge and equipment. He was efficient, and fair on price; kept the final price below the estimate as well.
