Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Had them do a complete tear-out and remodel of the master bathroom
shower, as well as re-grout the guest (i.e. kids') bathroom shower and repair the ceiling (developed a roof leak while they happened to be working in the other bathroom).
To be fair, Jenn was helpful and seemed to care about the job and have our best interest at heart.
However,
they had to come back 4 times to fix things they apparently thought
were fine, and now we are left with a barely-okay-looking shower which
we had someone else come in and re-grout (see below)
1. Many, many crooked and rough cuts and tile placements. Even after all
the fixing (which was done not by re-cutting and replacing tiles
but by grinding down crooked edges) we are left with ragged-looking,
crooked and chipped edges on many tiles;
2. We made it clear at the beginning that we didn't want the shower too high - my wife isn't tall, and we use a removable shower head so she needs to be able to reach it. Original shower was slightly under 78" - they installed the new shower 80"+. They re-did that tile and moved the shower down several inches, and it's fine now - though they did chip another tile doing so.
3. There is a window above the bathtub, and they tiled inside the windowsill. That isn't terrible, and it looks okay (after they re-did one side so it lined up correctly), but the custom-fit shade no longer fits. Some communication would have been good there.
4. The old shower enclosure was left in the back yard; cementboard was left in the garage; the bathroom was covered in dust, scraps and garbage every day when they left.
5. They used sanded grout, rather than caulk, in the corners of the shower - despite the fact that most of the work was being done because of previous cracking. Of course, it cracked within days.
--- there is more, but I started this review earlier this year and couldn't finish it because I was getting too upset. I could write another page, easily. Now I just want to get it posted.
I'll add one more thing, though - the owner finally came out to look at things, and was condescending, dismissive, and generally didn't seem to think there was a problem. For example, told me it was perfectly normal that the caulk in the other bathroom cracked after a couple of days. That just happens, you know, from the change in temperature. Then they fixed it by putting another layer over the cracked parts. Nice. Yet another thing I have to have someone else come in and fix now.
Oh, and like the other reviewer, the floor wasn't leveled right so the water just pooled. We were able to get them to come back and fix that, though.

General Remodeling
I was less than satisfied with Rose Custom Builders. They put in the drain incorrectly so it blocks up. They reversed the hot water and the cold water, and they were supposed to floor so that the water could go into the drain but the didn't so now the water just remains like a pool on the floor. I would not recommend them. The price would have been appropriate if they would have done the work properly.

General Remodeling
Did all the work, except final painting and electrical box movement, when we were out of town. All was completed carefully, with no mess to cleanup. Spent a few hours and dollars trying to match the Kool Deck surface surrounding the post that was removed, and got it to match perfectly.
