Rachel's Cleaning Service

I wish I could start this review by saying Rachel made this situation right and refunded me $100 of the $250 I paid her but I CAN’T because she HASN’T & she probably NEVER WILL so here’s my experience... we were out of state the day Rachel came to clean. Our home is a new build we bought in November and it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned yet. It’s barely furnished. I explained that to her when I hired her and said I wanted top to bottom cleaned. Because we weren’t there a neighbor let her in. I paid Rachel thru Venmo before seeing the work in person 2 days later. I knew there were going to be some issues because we have video monitoring in the main area of our home & I noticed a lot of standing around, talking on her cell phone, not moving area rugs when she mopped - she mopped around them. I also saw that she missed some obvious areas like window sills. She wiped around the six placemats on my dining table and never cleaned or picked up 2 small, granite cutting boards that were sitting on the kitchen island. She didn’t move anything from the kitchen counters or move the dining chairs off the rug, she vacuumed around them. She arrived at 11:30, left for 1 hour so my neighbor had to come back and sit there until she returned and then she was done at 3:30. So she made $83 + change per hour. I reluctantly paid her. When we arrived I started checking around and it was more than obvious that she did not touch the bathtub in the guest bathroom or clean the area around the floor at base of toilet (there was a bandaid on the floor next to trash can). The kitchen cabinets had so many streaks they will need to be redone. There was drywall dust and caulking debris in corners of kitchen floors, along the base of the island and at the back of kitchen counters. The dining chairs had crumbs on a couple chairs. The trash cans in the master bath were not emptied and I honestly don’t think she touched the master shower or sinks. Keep in mind that the house did not look dirty when she got there, it’s a new build & I’ve done light cleaning to it but, it needed a thorough, deep clean. The office floors weren’t touched in corners and the really lightweight area rug was mopped around. I contacted Rachel via email and told her how disappointed I was and that I felt taken advantage of. I was more than fair in asking for, at least, $100 refunded of the $250. She said she couldn’t do it that day but could in a week or so. That was almost 2 weeks ago. I sent another reminder email and did not hear back. I cannot and would not recommend Rachel and I’m really disappointed that she did not do the work she was hired to do and took our money. I have to hire someone to do exactly what I hired Rachel to do.

I didn't care much for her, I don't think because they were pretty slow. I'm not jumping up and down from what I can remember. She had a girl with her and she used feather dusters. When you've got allergies feather dusters don't work. I will never use them again. My house was cleaned but it wasn't exciting. I had this other service come in and the two ladies did things beyond what I asked them.

Emily is very particular when she is cleaning. She did a lot of little things and was very good at attention to detail. She did everything, floors, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, kitchen, everything was done. And was happy to do anything else that I asked for. Very trustworthy as I felt fine leaving her and doing errands etc. Great cleaning service and really nice gals. I would highly recommend them for light cleaning or heaving cleaning.

Great job.  Have scheduled for continual bi-weekly service.

This was a difficult cleaning job as we had just purchased the house and
the previous owner did not clear out all the cabinets in the kitchen
and bathrooms.  Rachel and her helper worked 6 hours straight without taking a break.  I would hire her again.

She does anything I ask her to do.

I should have purchased 6 hours instead of 4 hours, but she led me to believe that 4 hours would be sufficient. What I got for $160 I did not feel it was worth it. I was left disappointed. I was a little underwhelmed. She did not understand when I said deep clean I really meant that. That's a part of the challenge her not seeing it before she did the work. I can describe and I can be thorough there's nothing like seeing it. Then I could have made a more informed decision, if she had said to do what you need would require 6 hours and then I could have evaluated if I wanted to do the 6 hours. It would have been a better experience if she had seen it before she did the job. She promotes herself as green, I am chemically sensitive. Don't tell me green and use not green.

Please see above narrative.  Rachel's Cleaning Service was excellent and I definitely recommend her service.

We recently relocated from North Dakota to Prescott, AZ. One of our primary concerns was to find someone that would be willing/able to do some of those household  chores  that we have found age prohibitive or difficult to accomplish on a routine basis. Rachel has been the answer to that concern. Her professional knowledge,willingness, work ethic, and desire to do the best possible job is above reproach. I do thank you Reachel and would further recommend your services to all prospective clients.

Rachel did a fantastic job!  She is not only friendly & good at her profession (very thorough), but she took extra precautions when handling delicate items on my shelves.  Very pleased with her and her work.
