Likes to talk, but gets the job done. He is an older guy so don't expect it done in a few days. 7 days from the start of grade to finish. 23x13 parking pad. 4" 4000psi and fiber mix. Won't crack like using rebar or mesh. The neighbor has a huge drive 16 years and still looks new, with no cracks, etc.

scotty was very professional, helpful and innovative. always timely and would call if there were any appointment changes. there is only one area of concern--his helper. he was like a bull in a china shop, at times obstinate and argumentative. he dragged a hose across just finished concrete, never bothering to correct his mistakes. he splattered wet concrete on the walls and never bothered to clean it up. very messy. i recommend scotty very highly but NOT his helper.

When dealing with a contractor on all but the smallest job there are 6 important things to consider: reasonable price, quality work, communication, honesty, a willingness to work with you on details, and being open to ideas as the project progresses. Evans Contracting gets 5 stars in all these areas. The project was a 140 foot driveway sloping down a grade; requiring 5 separate pours. Scotty called to ask if he could come a day earlier than he had estimated. He and his crew showed up early everyday; day after day till the project was finished. He constantly told me what his plan was, and asked for my input to make sure we were on the same page. He never tried to nickel-and-dime me as I made reasonable change requests and he stayed on budget. Some of my changes required a bit more concrete than originally estimated, but I gladly paid for the extra concrete even though Scotty did not ask me to. Fair is fair. Scotty left the work site clean everyday. Everyone in the crew was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend Evans Contracting.

We did not have a driveway installed but that was the closes choice given. We actually had 2 slabs poured in our back yard and we love them. Company was very professional the only thing was that when putting my gate back up one of the workers misplaced a cap to the gate, but no big deal as it was easy to replace.
