I did some research and called in a fellow by the name of Bill who owns and operates Big Sky Plumbing (928) 636-7350. He came over within a couple of hours, temporarily fixed the leak by plumbing around the bad tank and got us up and running on a single tank again. He came back after Thanksgiving with a new tank, re-plumbed and installed it, replaced our undersized expansion tank with a bigger one, and he replaced our Pressure Reduction Valve (PRV) which was also on the fritz. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and teaching me how the two tank system operated, how to isolate one tank from the other in case of another emergency, how to flush it and how to drain it properly. Then he cleaned up after himself and presented me with a very reasonable bill. I was happy to give him a healthy tip. Based upon my experience with Big Sky Plumbing I would recommend this fellow to anyone who needs some plumbing work done in a timely professional manner.

It went excellent. Bill had to go the extra mile - literally - to find the right parts. He was friendly, professional and cleaned up everything. We've had no problems at all since the valves and faucets have been replaced - a year and a half later.

I had just bought a 1948 house that I knew needed a lot of plumbing and other repairs. I was referred to Bill by a contractor I trusted, and Bill was terrific. He provided a ton of work for me including: shortening a line to HVAC system, snaking toilets and tub, retrofitting a new shower to an old tub system, retrofitting a new and higher shower arm in a shower built for short people, running various lines into the new kitchen including for icemaker, dishwasher, sink, repairing faucets, installing anti-siphon systems to hosebibs, completely revamping my street meter, installing proper valves and other devices for a new irrigation system. Let's see, is there anything else possible?! To top it off, once I had renters in and I was out of town, Bill, on his own initiative, walked the renters through the use of the various new systems. Bill is a really nice guy, punctual, meticulous, and a high-quality worker. I'd hire in again (but hope I don't have to!).
