VOLKOM POOL SERVICE

Been a customer for 6 years... until today. I dropped their "service" because of their poor service over the last few months. Service was good at first, but now it is awful. The owner, Daniel, bought Aaron Pools and now the service is the worst. So technically, you need to see Aaron Pools to see what kind of service you'll be getting. Volkom Pools' customers are serviced by Aaron Pools. Aaron has a bad rating here and elsewhere. Sad.

Daniel quickly diagnosed the problems with our system (some of which were exacerbated by neglect from the previous pool service) and got it up and running. The pool and spa look fantastic!! Daniel really, REALLY knows what he is doing.

Volkom Pool Service remains our pool guy today.  Daniel is on time and
does a good job.  We have an older system and he is not shy about
reaching out to his network to make sure fixes are done right.

I contacted Volkom pools through e mail about the problem I was having with algae in the bottom of our pool.  I received a very quick response which I really appreciated.  Daniel was available the next day to look at my pool and decide what should be done.  We talked about what i had done to try and rid the pool of algae then he said he thought we should try something else that what I had tried wasn't strong enough.  So he applied a chemical which did very rapidly rid the pool of algae.  Daniel stayed in touch with me and I sent him pictures of the pool where the algae was over the next few days to see what he thought.  This was great as he didn't have to return and I knew it was working.  His service charge for stopping by and applying the chemical was VERY reasonable!  At the time my husband and I weren't looking for anyone to maintain our pool.  But Daniels knowledge, professionalism, promptness and price changed our minds and we are so happy that now he maintains our pool. 

He is always here on time, even if it is a holiday. He makes recommendations on maintenance and is very good at what he does. I never have to remind him or call to show up. He is knowledgable, polite, and reliable.

Good. When we had issues he helped us solve the issues and/or recommended someone who could get the job done.

Daniel, the owner and I exchanged a number of emails before he we coordinated a time to see the job in person.  He provided a verbal estimate over the phone once he confirmed some pricing w/ his warehouse.  Given my ignorance I probably should have asked at the time of the estimate the following:  a written quote, acceptable forms of payment, quality of the motor (comparable or same manufacturer, etc.), warranty on the motor and work done.  The day of the job I asked him to confirm the cost again verbally which was the same as had been quoted the day before.  Not sure if his fee was expensive or not....replaced a Hayward w/ an AO Smith motor.  I requested a written bill at the end of the job and he said he would send it via email which he did. 
Daniel completed the work in less than a half hour.  I was disappointed as he left the old motor on our property instead of disposing it....even if it had been into our garbage can which was on his way out to the driveway. 
Not sure if I'll use this company again.  As a small business owner myself it's the little things that go a long way.  Will definitely shop around as his professionalism and covering all aspects of the job in detail woudl have been appreciated.  We typically only support small business owners and hope that our feedback will be taken into consideration to improve his customer service.

After working with 2 other pool service providers since 6/2010 with less than satisfactory service we thought we'd give Volkom Pool Service a try as a referrence from our home insurance provider. We have used Volkom Pool Service for almost a year and have been extremely happy with the service, suggestions and professionalism. Daniel has taken the time to discuss our pool situation and maintenance requirements. We have recommended Daniel to many of our friends and neighbors with pools and will continue to do so in the future.

Pool pump was leaking. Repair was completed on site to our satisfaction

Dan came by same day I called. He gave me rough estimates of what he thought my problems were on the phone and explained everything well. Dan repaired everything in a timely manner and was very professional. Highly recommend

Dan responded to my request for service when I had repeated issues with my existing service. He came out, accessed the situation and made suggestions. He performed repairs and has been performing the weekly service since.

Dan is very professional and responsible. He's never missed a day, unlike other pool services I've used, and my pool was clean and spotless all summer. I am very happy with his pricing and service and would highly recommend him.

Dan was very clear and precise in his explanation of what needed to be done to fix my pool filtration system. When a part was more expensive than expected, he gave me a call to make sure that was okay. When the pool phosphates were too high, he called to clear the extra cost of chemicals to fix it. I really appreciated his clear communication, as the last part of the quoting and fixing happened while I was 1500 miles away. Now the downside: Dan is a busy guy, because it is very difficult to find reliable pool guys in our area. Through no fault of his own, another contractor did not leave the keys as expected. I dinged Dan a little in professionalism because we ended up going 2.5 weeks without pool cleaning due to him being unable to circle around to hit our house again in one day or all week.

I called Dan on a Friday afternoon and he was able to swing by and take care of the issues later that day. Dan did everything in a couple of hours and had told me that what next steps needed for the next few days to help clear the pool. Great job!

Hired Dan to service our pool/spa on a monthly basis. Couldn't ask for better service. Dan shows up rain or shine. He has never missed a day!! He also promptly returns all phone calls. It's refreshing to find a service that shows up and does what he says he's going to do, All the previous pool cleaners we have used only showed up half the time, or half the time it was never on the scheduled day. Thanks for the top notch service Dan!!

Better than expected. Extremely pleased!

Dan came out after I made a mess of my pool pump motor. He chatted with me on the phone before coming out, came out promptly, and got an estimate while he was here. He then came back just a couple of hours later and quickly replaced the motor for me.
