Overall the project went relatively smooth however any construction project of this size has its challenges. Things started and ended the way I was told for the most part.

THEY WERE VERY FAST IN ESTIMATING OUR JOB. WE ACCEPTED AND GAVE A DEPOSIT OVER PHONE. NO ONE CALLED TO SCHEDULE. I CALLED TO SCHEDULE DAY AND TIME. NO SHOW! NO CALL! ON DATE AGREED. I CALLED AND THEY SAID EQUIPMENT WAS BROKEN WOULD BE OUT LATER IN DAY. NO SHOW! NO CALL! I CALLED BACK AT 4PM THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO MARK OFF WERE CONCRETE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LAID. HE ASKED IF I WOULD RESCHEDULE FOR A SMALL DISCOUNT. TWO WEEKS LATER THEY CAME 3 HRS LATE. THEY SAID THEY RAN OUT OF CONCRETE AND WOULD COME BACK NEXT DAY TO FINISH. THEY SHOWED UP AND FINISHED POURING CONCRETE. ONCE CONCRETE DRIED ENOUGH TO WALK ON WE SPENT SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS CLEANING ALL THE CONCRETE THEY SWEPT UP THROUGH OUR POOL CLEANER. WE HAD TO SCRUB DRIPPED CONCRETE OFF INTERIOR OF OUR NEW PEBBLE TECH POOL. IT TOOK THEM 2 MORE MONTHS TO FINISH INTERIOR LIP OF POOL. I HAD TO TAKE OFF CONCRETE FORMS BECAUSE IT TOOK SO LONG FOR THEM SHOW TO FINISH JOB. I NOW HAVE MULTIPLE LONG CRACKS, UNEVEN, CHIPPED EDGES AND A COUPLE OF HOLES IN MY BEAUTIFUL (HA HA) CONCRETE. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I am sorry to say that I contracted The Sharper Edge as well. I Paid over $2000 for a 15x20 artificial grass install with a cement border. I went to the showroom and paid the OWNER Allan a deposit for the installation. I was excited to come home from work the day of the installation and see my new grass. What a disappointment. There were lumps under our feet when walking on it and the grass could be picked up with your fingers because it wasn't secured to the ground. I called immediately. The girl that answers the phone is very rude right off the bat. Allan assures me that he will have someone come out to look at it. They are no shows for 2 days straight. When they finally came out, I wasn't home but Allan says his worker came out and fixed the installation. Nope. Wrong. I don't know why they can't send a supervisor to look at and see what is wrong and then send someone competent out here to fix it. I have been leaving messages for Allan for 3 days and finally got a hold of him today. I am pretty upset and finally have had enough. I lost my temper with him and demanded a refund or an assurance that my install will be done right. He blamed me for not being there to make sure the job was done right. Really? I am waiting until 6/14 for my install to get fixed. I will let you all know what happens. Do not contract these guys. If the owner doesn't care about the install and the lack of customer service, how can you expect anything better from the rest of the company. Leadership by example I guess..****************UPDATE they came out to fix the grass....by the way the concrete border is also cracking and they didn't fix it but I'm done dealing with these people. The owner actually said that the concrete is supposed to crack every 4-5 feet.....what an idiot...Please do not use this company for concrete or grass.....good luck!

1st they were 2.5 hrs late, sales stated they would be at my house by 6:30 am. Square footage increased vs. sales estimate. Field supervisor had lousy instructions vs. sq. ft. breakdown from sales estimate. Misc. step stones were not to be stamped, f/s up ask if I wanted them stamped. I questioned cost, f/s stated no additional cost, but I was charged for 65 when I only have 62. Large step stones, charged for 34 I only have 31. I still have to recalculate the square footage.

The workers did not have appropriate equipment or enough time to apply the product in a professional manner. They borrowed my ladders, extension cords, and pool cleaning tools, without asking. At the end of the day everyone was running around yelling we have only 10 more minutes, 10 minutes to get out of here! The mess in the pool after they raced off was unbelievable. The pool lines became clogged with pebbles, cement, screws, and bits of white plastic I had to blow out the lines. When I drained the pool out, I found three concrete trowels, an 8 ft. piece of plastic form, about a pound of screws, a glove, and perhaps a five gallon bucket of broken bits of concrete. They cleaned their equipment in front of my house and left a big red pile of sludge on the lawn, and an oil spill in the middle of the street. Either the workers were negligent or untrained in this work. I was paid back for some of the pool repair, but still this was a horrible experience.

EXCELLENT JOB. WORKED US INTO THEIR TIGHT SCHEDULE. GAVE CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE PATIO. DID GET SOME CONCRETE ON MY COOL DECKING.

THE MOST COMPETITIVE PRICES FOR THE SELECTION OF CURVING I WAS LOOKING FOR. THEY HAVE A VERY NICE DISPLAY AT THEIR LOCATION THAT I COULDN'T GET OTHER BIDDERS. THEY ONLY HAD A PAMPHLET.

THE COMPANY HAS A GOOD PRODUCT, BUT THEIR HIRED HELP COULD BE IMPROVED ON A LOT. THEY USE SPECIAL FORMATTING ON THEIR WORK SUCH AS WIRE REINFORCED MATERIAL AND HAVE A VARIETY OF STYLES AND COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM. THEY WHERE ON TIME, QUICK TO GET THE JOB DONE, BUT SLOW ON FOLLOW UP CALLS & TOUCH UP WORK. THEY WHERE NOT VERY CLEAN & BROKE A FEW THINGS. WE PAID A GOOD COIN FOR THIS WORK AND WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SEE A BETTER JOB DONE FIRST TIME AROUND.

EXCELLENT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE AND THE WORKMANSHIP WAS FIRST RATE.

PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. SALES PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE WERE VERY FRIENDLY WITH NO HIGH PRESSURE SALES TECHNIQUE. CREW SHOWED UP ON TIME AND FINISHED THE JOB ON SCHEDULE. THE FOREMAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HAD HIS CREW WORKING VERY HARD. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEY WERE DONE, AND THE FOREMAN SAT AND DISCUSSED EVERYTHING WITH ME AFTERWARDS. VERY REASONABLE PRICE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

SALESMAN WAS HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE. HE HAD GOOD IDEAS. REALLY GIVES A NICE LOOK TO THE YARD.
