It was a terrible experience with Tekna Security. We signed a contract with them 2 years ago and our Alarm went bad recently. It took them 2 weeks to come over and they only did it because we were complaining and we were going to report them to Angie's list and Better Business Bureau. They are unreliable. I would not recommend them.

I compared 3 companies & Tekna was better price wise & quality of devices. The only install costs were for additional devices - the basic coverage required no fees for devices. I added additional glass breakage sensors & key fobs. The monthly monitoring was also less than my other 2 options. My install includes cell phone access to status, history, & off/on. The touch sensitive screen is much easier to use than our daughter's key pad security system. The install was soon after contract signing. And no fees for most maintenance, such as repositioning door or window sensors. Quality product & service at the best price.

The installer was great! Unfortunately the salesman professed to know everything but was not well informed. He recommended many items to simplify my life, Yet the items he recommended were incorrect for the function and for my system. He did not give me adequate instructions ( actually NO instructions) on how to use the extra items he had installed. He set up my account charging me for service I did not have and I spent hours with the monitoring company correcting this matter. The office staff was pleasant enough but NO ONE gave me any assistance with my system use. No one followed up to supply information that I requested.

They provide monitoring every single month but they are a very good service. They were very responsive and they did exactly what they said they were going to do.

Keith the installer was great! He had to spend a lot of time figuring out our old system and getting our new one up and running. He was able to save us money by repairing things we thought we had to replace. Before the installation, he and Jared, the owner, answered a ton of questions for us and spent time figuring out the best system for our home.

There was no charge; it was a free installation with a two-year contract.  Their professionalism was topnotch.  They had no issues dealing with anything that we asked them.  The guy that they sent out was very professional.  We had three or four different quotes from various areas and he was able to answer any and all questions.  He didn’t just direct us to a website or that we could talk to someone.  He really knew his stuff.  He really understood dealing with a wired security system instead of a wireless system.  He ran down the options of addition that we could make but there was no pressure from him to add anything.  He was fine with just the base package.  They had no problems getting the personnel here within our timeframe to do the actual installation.  They followed up very well.  They followed up probably a month after the installation just to check and make sure that everything was okay.  They followed a true professional process from start to end.  I recommended them to my neighbor who used them as well.

I met Joe at the Phoenix Home and Garden show. He followed up, came out to my house, assessed the situation and sent an installer who could repair our system and make it function for us.

The representative and technician, who installed my system were extremely polite and professional. I feel so secure in my home with the alarm system.

Tekna systems did an amazing job. They were extremely professional and very competitive with their pricing and installed cutting edge equipment.
