"Regarding the complaint filed, this is not the individual that purchased the air conditioning system from Select Comfort Htg & Clg. The system was purchased and installed for the previous homeowner of the residence. It was paid for through the previous owner to Select Comfort Htg & Clg. This complaint is being filed by the new owner'[Member Information Removed] father, who called to schedule an appointment. It was explained to the new owners father, that if there were repairs that may need to be done, there could be some costs that the manufacturers warranty would not cover. The manufacturer'[Member Information Removed] warranty can be honored by any licensed contractor, and does not have to be through the company who installed the system. The new owners father scheduled an appointment with Select Comfort Htg & Clg to come out June 13th. The owners mother then called Select Comfort Htg & Clg back, and cancelled the schedule appointment for the 13th. She stated she had her own A/C company that she was going to use for the repairs. In her own words, she said, "Why pay you to do it when I can give the money to someone I know. " As for the courtesy trip that was done, it was the original owner who contacted Select Comfort Htg & Clg to come out. This failure came 8 months after the original installation of the system, and there was an appointment scheduled, but was cancelled on the new owners behalf."
